Little Mike Tarico (sp), the eleven year ESPN analyst and MNF commentator is supposively trying to clear his name on sexual harrassment charges or something to that effect.

My FedEx driver was just listening to Sirius Radio and he thought it sounded as if ESPN has fired Mike due to these allegations. Has anyone else heard of this yet?

Wow that would suck. He is one of the best guys on TV. He is the only thing that saves MNF. Joe and Tony really suck! Tirico made a comment last night when his mascott's head fell off he said, "Thats what I feel like after doing MNF with you guys!" :lmao: I feel that way after listening to Joe and Tony.

I know that a few years ago he was suspended by ESPN for sexual harrassment. He was allowed to return, obviously, but I have not heard that he is back to his old ways.

ESPN did fire Harold Reynolds, during the Little League World Series, for sexual harrassment.

A few months back ESPN canned Harold Reynolds from baseball tonight for similar reasons... although I dont think there was any proof... they just canned him.

The only reason ESPN would can Tirico is if they're worried about a lawsuit over Reynolds firing.

They fired Reynolds because he wouldn't toe the company line, trying to invent a story where one didn't exist regarding Alex Rodriquez. They claimed it was due to harrassment. If they keep others with the same "crime", Reynolds wins.

Of course if ESPN had to let go every perv, stalker and harrasser, there'd be 23 hours of dead air a day.

If true, how come some folks cannot learn from their past mistakes?

You're telling me that ESPN "created" a story about Reynolds and sexual harrasment as an excuse to fire Reynolds for "creating" a story .......?

The media creates stories all the time and no one gets in trouble, but sexual harrassment is an offense that could lead to lawsuits, not only against Reynolds, but against ESPN, and something that would lead to much closer media scrutiny by other news organizations.

Sounds to me like you are the one doing the "creating".

Reynolds says he'll sue ESPN
Posted: Monday October 30, 2006 9:17PM; Updated: Monday October 30, 2006 9:17PM

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) -- Harold Reynolds plans to sue ESPN over his departure from the network as a baseball analyst last summer.

Reynolds played 12 major league seasons and joined ESPN in 1996.

"I have tried everything possible to handle this situation quietly behind closed doors. After numerous conversations and multiple mediation discussions with ESPN executives, it is clear that ESPN had no intention of solving this problem amicably," Reynolds said in a statement.

"For 11 years, I served ESPN with enthusiasm and dedication. It is unfortunate that ESPN has handled this process in an unprofessional manner. At the end of the day, my integrity, reputation and family are my top priorities, and for those reasons I need to set the record straight and clear my name."

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said Monday that the network had been made aware that Reynolds either has filed a lawsuit or plans to in coming days.

"The suit is without merit," Krulewitz said. "We stand by our decision and have no further comment now that litigation has begun.

All in favor please say aye.

Aye!
Aye!!

The broadcast with those three was the best of the year.

I have to say that last night was a big improvement over past broascast. Tirico actually was allowed to do play by play (a BIG problem that I had before) and they didn't bring in guest interviews like it was the freakin' Jay Leno show. If we mush have these guys I hope they at least keep it like last night.
