I feel so bad for him. He only makes $5 mil this year to sit the bench.

What a shame.

Let's have a pity party.

Mike Vick will be starting for the Eagles on opening day. Book it. That's why Donovan was so expendable... they had Vick.

Mike just be grateful and shut your mouth. Take advantage of learning a few things from the sidelines and if you get the shot, prove your worth. Otherwise just be happy you got your second chance...

Wow. I thought I was in the COWBOYS forum. Must be mistaken.

No one said that he, or others like that, should get a second chance either.

But given that he has been given a second chance, like others who've done worse, he should probably learn to be grateful, keep his mouth shut, and just work hard. If he wants to be a starter again then show it in his work, and on the field, but not with running his stupid trap.

The guy is lucky, and should be awful thankful, that he's even allowed to be in the league again.

I agree, but you made it seem like he shouldn't have gotten a second chance based on what he did.

Vick should make a very good back up for a team. His scrambling and improv is great for situations when a guy has not had alot of reps and comes in off the bench. Hard for teams to defend that.

I am a bit suprised the Eagles didn't try and trade him off to someone before the draft.

Like Jerry said, you can get better value after the draft.

I don't think teams will touch him.

I'll admit, I have a real problem with dogs thinking they're the dominant species. That dog needs a punch in the mouth.

Second chances aside, Vick needs to go out and prove that he can be a starter again.

Does he think that someone is going to just hand him the keys to their franchise without proving himself first?

Don't rule out AZ... Matt Leinhart isn't the answer.

He sure isn't. Vick isn't the answer, either. The NFL is a QB league without a lot of really good QBs right now.
