This HAS to be very disappointing for Lion fans. Hard to imagine their roster is so deep they make Williams inactive. Shocking!

Wiiliams may be inactive for other reasons. Might be that the Lions are trying to trade him and don't want to risk: 1) Injury or 2) Bad play (or benchsitting) that would lower his value.

Right now, they could "say" (to other teams, not publically) that MW is inactive in order to protect him from potential injury.
