Mike Williams is currently buried in the Buffalo depth chart. Do you think the Bills will cut him? If so, do you guys think Dallas would take a shot at him. I think a homecoming could rekindle this guy and BP might help him shed some weight to go from 360lbs down to about 345lbs. That is the weight Flozell plays at so I think Williams would be better served at playing at that weight as well.

He is? I thought he was starting.

That guy has potential, but he's just too overweight. He, and Leonard Davis, both would dominate if they weren't so fat.

Yeah 2nd string guard. He might be cut in the offseason, you don't pay a 2nd stringer 5 million a year. I think BP can get him to shed some weight not thirty pounds, but maybe 15-20 which would put him at Flozell Adams's playing weight. BTW how big is Leonard Davis?

He's absolutely horrible, isn't he?

I've yet to hear one positive thing about him.

It's never a good sign when people question your love of the game. If he was cheap enough I wouldn't mind taking a chance simply because he has talent.

I posted this as a possibility about a month ago. He has a 7.8 million cap number and refused to restructure for the second year in a row. Some people on the Bills message boards think he played well at guard and tackle and were suprized when he became 2nd string. Most feel he will improve with a change of scenery which is very possible. He's only 25

Exactly.

I don't think he has a future at tackle at 370lbs.

If he's cut and can be had cheap enough, put a stamp on his invitation to camp with the Cowboys. Ever noticed how it's hard to get some of the linemen to turn up their aggression even though they have ALL the physical attributes to excel? That would be my only concern after what I've heard about him.

He'd have to play guard because he can't handle outside speed. Pretty solid against a bull rush. Above average run blocker. Has trouble controlling his weight. Not a hard worker and has trouble staying healthy. Used to making enormous dollars. Someone will likely overpay him again because he has the kind of rare size and talent that's hard to find. But guys that don't really love the game don't start after 5 years in the league.

Would he be as good at LG as an aging LA? He could be. He certainly has the talent. IF he had the right OL coach. IF BP could light a fire under the two rhino's Mike Williams calls a butt. IF he can stay healthy. IF he'd sign a cap friendly deal. That's a lot of if's.

If Mike Williams is released, I'd definitely be interested in signing him to a looksee contract the same as Marc Columbo did.

The staff would quickly find out if his heart was in the game and getting into the shape necessary to become an effective player.

And Parcells has admitted in the past that he's always interested in taking a look at former high draft picks who've failed with their first teams just to see for himself what they've got.

If BP can make him slim down to 345lbs, then I think he will be able to play tacke again. Thats the same weight Adams plays at and he handles speed okay.
