I just watched the Cowboys playbook, as many of us already knew, Miles Austin has the 4th highest amount of receiving yards in a 2 game span..I did a little bit of research and I believe Chad Johnson holds the record with 573 yards receiving in a 3 game span. Thus, Austin would need to have 153 yards this week to break that record. Does he get it done this week?

I would love it if he did but not going into this game expecting 153 for Austin.

He has to come back down to earth at some point. I really think this is the game that Felix Jones gets on track.

I seriously doubt it. At this point, teams will be looking to take him out of the game (ala T.O. 2008), since he is our biggest threat to take it to the house...even over Felix Jones. But that should open things up for our other playmakers.

I'm sure someone said the exact same thing about Michael Jordan after he won 3 championships in a row...

"come back down to earth" is another sports cliche that I hate. Not going after you in particular, but people probably also said the same thing about Tom Brady. Barring a season-ending knee injury, Tom Brady didn't show any signs of "coming back down to earth."

If he goes for thirty yards this week watch people blow up and call him a flash in the pan. Poor Mr.Austin.

I hear you, Im not saying he wont continue to be productive, I just dont think any WR can keep putting up those kinds of numbers week in and week out.

Under. I think this is the game where he has 4 or 5 catches for about 80-90 yards and all the sudden the boo birds come out cause he's not cashing in 170+ every time he starts.

Plus I think this is a game where we're going to have a nice lead for a large part of the game and thus we'll run it more and get the game over with.

I expect one of our backs to go over 100 yards on Sunday.

Following up "153" yards with "does he get it done?" is a little silly, don't you think? I think a legit over/under for miles every week should be 70 yards; if it was 70 i'd go over. But "betting on" an undrafted reciever who's had 2 good games in his career, albeit a short one, to outgain 153 yards is a bit silly.

It will take some long gains for TDs, such as the 60 yard plus receptions he has had. Frankly, he might even get an 80 yarder, if I recall IIRC his game against Tampa. So yes, he could do it, but to bet on it, I don't think I'd take the bet.

I think that will be the case. The last two teams seemed more intent on keeping us from running the ball because the passing game hadn't really clicked against Denver and Carolina.

Now, a threat emerges in the passing game and I think teams will see the need to stop that more than focus on the running game. I would try to get Roy involved early and hit them with the run. That should open things up for Austin as the game progresses.
