I think 19 in the slot is going to be huge for us this year. I see him as a much more dangerous receiver than Wes Welker. And with the attention that will be on Bryant, I think its going to give Roy Williams a lot of opportunities to try to beat #2 or #3 cornerbacks in one on one situations.

At least you want the receivers to succeed I guess.

I think we will alternate Austin/Bryant in the slot.

I agree with you. We have a potentially deadly WR corps.

I hope Miles Austin in the slot fails big time.

Then the Cowboys will draft 236 more Dez Bryant's next season.

I see what you did there.

Miles in the slot to take short, screen, Wes Welker type passes is your alternative to trading for Logan Mankins to offset the Oline issues I'm assuming.

I can't disagree with Miles in the slot. He'd be pretty difficult to stop. 5 to 7 passes his way in that area you know he's bound to break one of them. In fact I seem to recall a TD from that spot in short yardage from around the 10 yd line against the Eagles last year. I may be wrong.

I just want Miles wherever he's going to get the ball the most.

On a team full of playmakers, he's our most dangerous threat.

I promote you to GM.

All right, who are you and what did you do with Galian Beast? This post has way too much positivity. :D

GB, You had a nice post going before you mentioned Roy Williams.

I agree with you, and if Williams can come out and establish himself as a risk to the defense, Austin and Bryant are going to get a lot of room to catch and run.

Or they could trade for Logan Mankins. :laugh1:

Yeah he is such a unique player that I think you have to line him up all over the place.

Austin and Dez and Roy will be rendered useless this season due to Romo's injury tonight. But the massive breakdown in our line will lead to Jones trading a 1st and 3rd for Mankins so that Kosier can be a backup this year.

But the good news is you'll be happy.

take it how you want.

like i said in a separate thread.

I want them to play to their ability rather than fooling people into thinking they are better than they are.

Cue the 2003 Cowboys.

I'm fairly sure that all of the starting 3 receivers will see time in the slot either via lining up there or motioning there, but all receivers make it there eventually.
