Yeah, I know it's pretty ridiculous.

But his returns were huge. Plus, Detroit began pooch kicking, giving us excellent field postions.

He's becoming quite a player. He has dynamic qualities. I think he takes the next step next season.

Hi Biz, sorry but I think it was Witten this game. He set a record for TEs and when we really need receptions he was consistantly good.

I was really surprised Det kept kicking it short on KOs. Austin really scared them on that 60yd return!

Yeah, I said it mainly tongue in cheek. But he was really big this game.

Witten, of course, was our stud of the game.

I would have said YES, but he can't even Juke the Kicker.. LOL

Exactly! He is always so close to breaking it all the way, but those darn kickers flop around on the ground, and that is enough to stop Austin. All the kickoff coverage guys should just start falling on the ground and Austin would be down at the 20. I've never wanted someone to bring a kickoff back as bad as I want Austin to. Poor guy never gets by the kicker!

Austin was pretty good himself though and it was good he was riping off an average 30 yards a return. Everybody has to play well to win.

That was a good return, but I think Detroit's moronic ST play was a function of their complete lack of faith in their coverage, moreso than fear of Miles Austin.

In any case, I'm always excited about Austin's future. Bill Parcells raved about his attributes, and abilities. That's enough for me.

What I can't figure out is why we didn't start the year with him returning kicks. Thompson must have had a hell of a training camp or something.

Agreed. Austin has been great. Now, if only someone can teach him how to juke the kicker.
