No. He was overthrown on a sure touchdown and lost the ball on what would have been an excellent play. But he is still a very good receiver.

Heck, considering that none of our backs can run between the tackles, I'd still like to see what Barber would do with a good run blocking set.

Maybe on another team though.

Some good points made already, such as Barber would still be as good if we were smart enough to keep him in the roll where he excelled (and by we, I don't include me ). As for Austin, he actually is having a bit of a rough season for him though not that bad, he has had a few drops, especially early in the season (and that happens I doubt it will be a long term issue), also, Romo being out has probably hurt him the absolute most out of all wide recievers, I don't think that is a question at all.

All in all, a very small bit of a down year for Austin, but not worth fretting about, IMO, and he chose a good year to have a case of the dropsies

What has he done (or not done) to even give you that impression?

He is one of the best receivers in the league (top 3 IMO), and was on his way to another career year before Romo was injured. Our future looks mighty bright with he and Dez lined up aside one another for years to come.

Agree that Miles and Kitna aren't in sync. Kitna wasn't in synce with Dez either: everything was just a LITTLE off....but Whitten, Roy W. and even Marty have gotten more balls so.........it will all work out.

A lot of Austin's success comes from timing routes. It shouldn't be a surprise that his production has dropped off some with Kitna.

I don't remember this last year. I think he needs to work on catching a ton of balls over the off season to get back to being a good receiver. I would love to see that Romo brought The WR's to his his home or some remote location and worked on things over the off season.

I love Miles and I think comparing him to Barber's loss of production is unfair. But he can definitely work on his technique!

lets see through 12 games he has 56 catches for 800 yards (13th) and 14.4 average. leading the team. on pace for a second 1000 yard season. in a year when we just went through the crap that we did. are you freaking serious?
