Just an observation that struck me.
First, I really like Miles Austin. I think he has the charisma to be a leader but he isn't that guy, still he's an above average receiver that could be a stone cold killer if he played with a star on the other side.
But Miles yesterday displayed yet again the lack of urgency and the mindset of the team. After his fumble they had shots of him on the sideline and he was pissed. Nobody was sitting next to him and you could tell he was beating himself up.
Later, he made another nice catch and run and you could tell he was running with fury. After he was tackled there was no celebration, he flipped the ball aside like 'give it to me again.' He was in that angry zone.
The problem is it took a turnover to get himself into that mode. Dez is gifted and plays angry but he has no discipline or awareness.
Michael Irvin was a leader, gifted, aware, played with a fury and was disciplined...every single down, every single game.
