nice work if you can get it... OTree needs to gt his shot ASAP! Rookie WR all over the league are lighting it up and Jerryland gives us the 3 stooges... oh wait maybe we can do another Galloway trade like last year when Miles didnt stepup!

Miles and Hurd will be lucky to be on a an NFL roster next year!

Hell, this is a bargain. One guy who used to be a WR here but left for Canada is making a cool quarter of a million per catch.

You can only catcht the balls that are thrown to you. It's not Austin's fault that his QB doesn't look his way. The kid is open nearly every time he runs a route, sometimes just wide open, yet Romo checks it down to Witten. :banghead:

The bigger question is why are RW and MartyB dropping balls?

Romo needs to get back to spreading the ball around to all his WRs...the team will be better for it.

Yeah, but I'll running backs have.

Maybe if Ogletree was on the field Felix would only be averaging 5.0 yards a carry and we'll be averaging like 100 yards a game on the ground because Ogletree is so special that he'll cause teams to bring the extra safety up so he can work free downfield

How many plays did Miles get?

How many 3 and 4 wide receiver sets did Dallas run?

What was the primary objective of the play while Austin was on the field? For example he could be lined up in a 3 wide set, but a draw play is called.

I don't know the answer to any of those questions I have asked. I just know Austin is not there on every single offensive snap and not even out there on every single pass play. He is going to see limited action unless there are injuries to other players. That is the way it is for the 3rd wide receiver on the team. He won't have a large number of receptions. His job is to make the most of the few passes he does see come his way. He has 1 TD reception on 2 catches and averaging 31 yards per reception. That is what he is supposed to do.

The offense is producing. They had a few dumb penalties and missed assignments that resulted in sacks on Monday and that kept their point total down, but they moved the ball well. I don't think Austin is all that, but even if he was he would still not be out there catching 5 passes a game.

I would love to see Miles start. He is the missing speed opposite of Roy Williams that we need. Look at our history. Roy Williams is the same type of receiver as Irvin and Irvin had the speed threat on the other side of the field (Harper). Starting Roy opposite of Crayton is not enough speed on the field.

Crayton has played great so far IMO. He's faster than he was before and he mades some nice catches. Two big-time catches were nullified by penalties. He may not be a speed burner, but so far, he has been more productive than Austin. However, I would like to see Austin (and Bennett) get more chances.

Romo's probably making a couple million per touchdown at the moment.

What's your point? That football players make a lot of money or it's still early in the season?

Either point is highly intriguing and I wish to hear more.

If Ogletree is such a great WR then why wasn't he drafted?

If Ogletree is such a great WR, then why isn't he seeing any playing time?

While Romo was not drafted either is there a point to this

I can go on Brad Johnson was a 9th round pick same as a UDFA Larry brown was a 12th Round Pick UDFA is what they are now

you know Austin is effectively the 4th receiver behind witten, roy williams, and crayton. How if he gets 300-500yards this season i would be happy.

The point is Ogletree is only into his 3rd game of his career and some want you to believe he can already walk on water.

BTW Romo has nothing to do with this situation. He is several years into his NFL career.

LOL at both of you. Stop making sense. They want to bash. Factoids just get in their way.

And I agree with another poster. Austin and Bennett need to see more passes go their way. That's assuming we aren't averaging 7 yds a carry in which case I don't care to see a lot of passes thrown.
