Miles Sanders

Lost the game 2x

1st - got caught from behind by a LB. He had at least a 5 yard head start. It was all OL and he was untouched. He was fresh with just a couple touches.

2nd - yeah, the fumble. Unacceptable
Not a popular take. Not every rb has breakaway speed. It was a great run to get us down there, but fumbles and inconsistent play are how we got him for peanuts. Far down the list of reasons we lost.

Not every rb has breakaway speed- Ok but, watch the film.

Does Sanders (4.49) look like he is full throttle? He sucked in a special way.

Obviously, Blue scores there.

But if we're cutting guys for fumbling, Blue probably won't last long either.
Nothing caused that fumble. No punch and no big hit. Blue's issue was in the open field guys would punch the ball from behind. Which is an awareness issue. He did not have that problem in camp or preseason.

I'd love to hear why he was even in the game down there. As soon as I saw him in the backfield I said just that to my son watching the game. He stinks and while that long run was great for the game there wasn't really anything special he did, more benefited from the situation and then he almost fell down on his own for the last 10 yards before getting caught

Agreed with this post until the far down the list of reasons we lost. If he doesn't fumble we very likely win that game. Get a FG on that drive then we only needed to get into FG range to win the game later. Id say that fumble is top two reasons they lost that game.
