LOL ........ a GM, head coach and QB coach meeting with a prospect many posters has a 5th-round grade. As mentioned in several threads, league insiders could be higher on him. Even Dana has him as a day-2 talent....

Milrose is a quarterback. The Steelers need a quarterback. Most importantly the Steelers play in division with Lamar Jackson so they know what an athletic quarterback can do.

LOL .......it could also mean he could easily go day two and 1st round pick career
Not sure what's your point ..........I mean this could be said about any draft pick
My point is just because some league insiders are high on him doesn't mean he is actually going to develope into a legit NFL QB.

I dont remember all that was said in in Milroe thread you posted, but where people saying that he wont go day 2 or that he shouldn't? Because I would bet money that he does. And if the Cowboys picked him day 2 I wound needs those winnings to buy new furniture that I broke when the pick was announced

I agree with 100% but it also doesn't mean he's not. We don't know ........but Tomlin, his GM and QB are not just "some league insiders". I seriously doubt they would give 5th round talent this kind of attention.
We agree on many things but this isn't one......

They spent a first round pick on Kenny Pickett

He's closer to Hurts talent wise than Richardson. He will have a good career in the right system and HC. Not so sure Pittsburgh is a good fit. I think Seattle might be better.

Why Seattle over Pitt?
Remember they just traded for DK.......

Only because Seattle has a greater QB need and the system up there might better suit him. While Pittsburgh needs a QB too, they still have Fields ,and the option to bring Russ back. Not sure Milroe is that much better than either and is raw. Needs time. Not sure the fanbase nor Tomlin wants to wait for the guy to get better. He needs to win now. Seattle has more time.

I'd take a chance on Milroe. 23 years old, 3.52 GPA, success at a BIG time high school program in Katy, success in a BIG time college program in Alabama, and one of the best athletes in the entire draft. There's a lot missing from his game, but he's the kind of player scouts, trainers, and coaches should be drooling over on potential alone.

I've got him as the 4th best QB in the class and probably a 3rd-4th round pick. While I think Dallas has too many holes to fill to spend a premium draft pick on a developmental player, I can't help but imagine a scenario where Dallas drafted Jeanty in the first Milroe on day 3 and completely changed their ground game overnight.

Just imagine what a brilliant mind like Schottenheimer  could do with RPO and wildcat formations with those to in the backfield and Dak holding a clipboard on the sideline.

Pittsburg is one of the few teams who drafts well. If they take Milroe at 21, I don't know if I will be able to say that anymore. If they get him at 83, I might be able to stomach that.

So.....lol
They also spent a 1st on Ben Roethlisberger'
Listen, I know you are good at this and I respect that but others can also get it right sometimes.
I do not believe the GM was there in 2004 and certainly Tomlin was not so you fail
