Mina has Dak 8

I disagree because everyone loses. But the guys like Allen and Jackson and Marino all have fight and show up. It's when someone just flat out can't handle the pressure and doesn't show up that makes me criticize them. Take Hurts in that first SB. He lost but I was very impressed by his ability to hang 35 points on that KC defense and he had the misfortune of playing Mahomes. The good QBs lose to each other. But the bad QBs don't show up when they play the big boys. Allen losing to Mahomes with 13 sec left isn't the same as Dak not showing up against GB.
Dak showed plenty of fight against Green Bay in 2016. He brought us back from a two scored deficit to tie that game late in the fourth quarter. Our defense cost us that game. As for the loss to the Packers in 2023, he put up over 400 yards and three TDs. There was no quit in him in that game. Could care less if it was garbage yards he kept fighting. The Packers ended up having to put their starters back in. When it comes to showing no fight, it’s our defense.

Philadephia are very active and crucially they get out of bad contracts like Wentz as he wasn't the same quarterback after the serious knee injury which enable them to continually push and be aggressive in free agency.

As I previously stated, I can't spend another person's money but I have outlayed what would give the Cowboys a far greater chance of being a genuine contender - either ride a competent quarterback on a rookie contract (e.g., draft Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round as I advocated on here before that draft and he fell to the Cowboys) or sign a solid vet like Mayfield who would likely produce very similar production to Prescott's saving $30 million in the process which could be used to beef up the defense and sign an elite running back.
The Eagles are not the only team paying their QB a lot of money who aggressively use free agency. Prescott isn't holding us back from doing that, just like Purdy won't be for the 49ers. It's up to the GM to build a team around those QBs that can win. The GM here has not done that, but he hasn't done it in 30 years whether he was paying a QB a lot or a little.

Prescott was making $9 million in 2021, the year Matthew Stafford made $19.5 million and led the Rams to a Super Bowl title because the Rams also spent in free agency to build a team around him that could win it all.

The anti Dakkers always think a game consists of only one half. There are 2 halves. Sure the offense didn't do a lot in the first halves vs the Rams and most recent Packers game.... but if the defense would have turned it around in the 2nd half..... a comeback was definitely possible.

Just watch the Lions vs Niners game, or the Chiefs vs Niners. The Chiefs and Niners offense in those games did nothing respectively in the first half. But in the 2nd half they were able to make a comeback with help from their defense's adjustments and making quick, time saving stops. Dak's defense is bad for BOTH halves.

Don't forget that Packers defense in 2016 was 31st ranked pass defense. The problem with Dak is when he goes cold it's not for 1 series or a 1 quarter. He goes cold for 3/4 of the game.

You conveniently left out that your boy threw 2 Interceptions in the 1st half including one for a pick 6.

As for the "amazing" 400 yards.....the guy threw it 60 damn times. Christ, even Daniel Jones could do that, lol

It makes no difference what their defense was ranked. Some of you just look for any excuse not to give Dak some credit. That was a playoff game against Aaron Rodgers, who was still in his prime. It’s not about him going cold, it’s about we can’t stop the other team. We get behind and become one dimensional. We have no running game to lean on and everything gets thrown on him.

We have receivers that don’t get open. Our OL starts giving up sacks and pressures. I get it that Dak hasn’t played well in some of those games, but it hasn’t been all on him and he still shows some fight. To say that he shows no fight because he’s not playing well is wrong.

Don’t give me this your boy crap. I’m no Dak homer, I’m being objective. He didn’t play well in that game early, but we were behind before he ever got on the field. Our defense couldn’t stop the Packers all day. Practically every time they got the ball they put it in the endzone. They could’ve put up 50 on us had they not let up.

Had we been able to make a couple of stops we might have been able to make a game of it. Sure Dak had to put the ball up 60 times because we had no running game and our defense couldn’t stop them. Lol You’re going to have to throw all day if you’re giving up one TD after another and you can’t run the ball.

Matthew Stafford is a much better quarterback than Dak Prescott. It isn't even close. Proportionately there's more than $10 million difference in their play.

It could be argued the owners don't think the Cowboys are close to winning a Superbowl with Dak as the quarterback hence why they don't throw good money after bad.

By all accounts by the entire national sports media, Dak had an awful game.....there's no spinning that fact even though he " kept trying"

Was that supposed to be heroic or something?

Dak sucked, running game sucked, defense sucked.....nobody gets a pass for that game

Yeah. You started using it and you are just going to stick with it. No matter how stupid it is... by any chance we're you a class clown?

So who.would you choose to.start a team with? Dilfer or Marino.

I figured by now you had some.kind of spin you were going to.come up with.

But I know you avoid anything that makes you feel.cornered.

Your next statement is it's too long. I didn't read it.

Come on stick to your script.

Coming off the worst year of his career and some people still see him as #8......

I'm not sure who I should trust here....... objective NFL people or his haters here..... HMH

And yes, he's gonna bounce back this year and get into the Top 5 conversation again

Dak is great until he gets into any game that means something, then he has the deer-in-the-headlights look in his eyes. He loses before the games even start. He does not have the heart of a lion. He is a sheep. I am sorry to say that, but unfortunately, it is absolutely true. Is he Montana?, Jordan?, Reggie Jackson?, Mickey Mantle?, Bobby Orr? Nope, he is Craig Morton, through and through.

I agree with you but there is one idiot who says anyone who has not won championship is a loser. So there is only 40 or so winners. Every other QB ever is a loser.
