Time switch for "Mini Camp Live" we roll at 1240pm on http://DallasCowboys.com . Join @Spags52 + I for all the action from field. Best angle.
Mo back at practice as it has begun at Valley Ranch. pic.twitter.com/8hnKzOxndh
Ratliff Hatcher Ware working on sled away from others. Has look of veteran day for those guys. pic.twitter.com/45FpSJ3Uqp

Miles on the field but wearing a hat, not a helmet

#Cowboys WR Dwayne Harris is out practicing today after spraining his right ankle Tuesday in Day 1 of 3 of mini-camp.

------------------------------

Again, I'm only going to focus on team portions, interesting observations, and any injuries...

I really can't see the need to throw Harris out there a day after spraining an ankle.

Nice start to Mo's day vs Dez in the red zone. Managed to work his hand inside and knock the ball away at high point. Dez circus catch 2x
Terrence Williams is 2 for 2 on routes today. One fade and then a slant. Harris is back on practice field with a back shoulder grab.
Murray can't get inside of Lee who doesn't bite on the outside move. Dez catches a contested ball on Carr. Lee holds Dunbar and gets called.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 8m
DWare going through individuals. With energy. Just hurdled a tackling dummy.

Rowan Kavner ‏@KavnerDC 8m
Ratliff and Hatcher on field but not wearing helmets or doing individual drills right now. Might just be getting day to rest.

Brandon George ‏@dmn_george 6m
#Cowboys WR Miles Austin is standing on the sideline during WR drills with no helmet, working now with Mike Woicik.
WR Dez Bryant just beat CB Morris Claiborne inside on a slant for a TD, said, "That's money." Jerome Henderson now working with Claiborne.

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 41s
After watching 1-on-1 between WR and DB. Mo Claiborne can't handle Dez Bryant.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 2m
Garrett sets up last two reps of 1v1 work: Sean Lee vs Lance Dunbar and Lee wins. Dez Bryant vs Claiborne and Dez scores
Told its a day off for Austin.

Don't think many CB's can handle DEZ.... The is just way to good. Serious talent.

What is this day off crap? Has Austin and the other vets not had enough days off since they took the day off against the Commanders several months ago? What are they accomplishing with healthy starters sitting out an entire practice? Sorry, but it's this exact type of thing that leads to the soft culture that has surrounded this team since Jimmy left. Put all the healthy starters out there if you are going to practice. No one can tell me anyone on this team has earned a day off. Win something and I'll give you a day off. Until then, get your butt on the field and work hard to improve!

This is the second practice where Ben Bass has knocked a ball in the air, this time it ended up in Lissemore's hands. INT.
Offensive line has gashed the defensive line on two zone plays to the right. Free and Arkin on that side. Come back with toss sweep to left

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 1m
First team offense: With Miles Austin limited, Dwayne Harris working in the slot with Terrance Williams next to him on the outside.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 1m
big Sean making the practice tape. Stands up Arkin, sticks a hand up, blocks Orton pass and pulls down the INT in a crowd Big Sean.

Got that right.

There's only so many reps to go around. It's more beneficial for the young guys to get the reps. It's not training camp.

Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr 7m Will Allen working with first team at safety in front of matt johnson for second straight day

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 5m
Better job of Lissemore and Wilber getting up field on this last toss. Penetration was able to kill the pull by Weems.
Hargrove just got dinged on his right knee. Not sure really how healthy he is for this training camp.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 2m
Because not enough playcalling talk: Wade Wilson calling plays into QBs after relay from Bill Callahan

Brad Sham ‏@Boys_Vox 2m
Lots of run game in 1st team pd of today's minicamp. LB Durant seems to be able to find the ball, as he did in Det.

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 52s
We have a delay of game a Callahan takes too much time to call in a play. Then offense forced to call timeout on 3 & 5.
Anthony Hargrove goes into trainers room.

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 16s
Jason Witten's fired up today. Eight-time Pro Bowler is going hard, just snagged one-handed grab with Sean Lee all over him.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 1m Game situation. 1 vs 1s. Defense wins. Offense had DOG and formation bust back to back. Bad words heard from Witten's direction.

Hard for 90 guys to get on the field. Some of these guys who you know are making the team can sit so you get a look at the UDFAs

Bull. This team hasn't won anything and needs all the practice they can get. They've had 3 months off and now select vets need the 2nd day of minicamp off to rest? I'm not saying they have to take all the reps but they sure can take some of them each practice. They do this crap during training camp as well.

Excuses, excuses. I forgot the Cowboys were the best team ever and don't really need any practice. The guys you know are going to make the team NEED TO GET BETTER!!!!!!!! I don't give a crap about the 38 guys who aren't going to make the team. You have plenty of time to get a look at everyone. Guys don't need a whole practice off to rest at this point.

It'll be very disappointing if Will Allen beats out Johnson at safety. Dude is the epitome of a JAG

Not as disappointed as The Cowboys will be

I'm giving this training staff the benefit of the doubt, while the results have been disappointing we've certainly seemed to escape tanking in December like in years past.

There is this thing called a CBA that limits practice time for one thing.

Guys with a history of hammy issues or coming off an injury SHOULD get recovery days.

Believe it or not, practice is important. :D
