3:34 pm Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell with a possible peek into the game plan early for Sunday: "We know that we're a strong running team. We'd love to be able to establish the run, get that going from the get-go because that takes pressure off of everybody. I'm sure that won't surprise them."

3:21 pm First-year starting C John Sullivan vs. All-Pro DT Jay Ratliff: "I think that is a huge factor in the game," offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. "If you can do a great job of running those guys (OLBs) by, you give your quarterback a little room to step up, but that's where Ratliff is doing a good job with those centers."

3:18 pm Much like defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said about simplifying things this week in practice, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell concurs. "He's (coach Brad Childress) told everybody, 'Hey Wednesday, Thursday, if it's not there by Friday, don't be afraid to take things out.'"

2:56 pm Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier on expecting to see a lot of QB Tony Romo three-step drops: "That's pretty much what we've seen the second half of the season, and I don't think it'll be any different."

2:50 pm Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier: "Brad (Childress) has really challenged myself and the other coordinators to really stay with what we do. There may be a wrinkle here or there, but if for some reason players are having trouble with it, get away from it. We won 12 games for a reason."

2:49 pm Cowboys third WR Patrick Crayton set career highs in receptions (50), yards (697), and touchdowns (seven). "Patrick Crayton is one of the top slot receivers in the league," defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said.

2:48 pm Practice report: Everyone was accounted for, however FB Naufahu Tahi (reasons unknown) was just an observer. CB Antoine Winfield was in the slot when the DBs lined up in their nickel look. CB Benny Sapp was outside.

2:37 pm Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said Dallas' offensive line is probably the best the Vikings have faced all season. It includes two Pro Bowlers -- C Andre Gurode and G Leonard Davis.

2:36 pm Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier interviewed last week for the Bills head coaching job, but his focus this week is on his current unit. "It's not hard at all, believe me," he said. "These opportunities (to win a Super Bowl) are so rare. You would have to know me a little bit to understand that."

2:02 pm Rookie MLB Jasper Brinkley will be making just his fifth start on Sunday and first-ever playoff appearance. "I'm sure they'll have some wrinkles knowing we have a rookie middle linebacker," defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said.

1:59 pm Special teams coordinator Brian Murphy said Cowboys kickoff specialist David Buehler has one of the two best legs in the NFL. As for when KR Percy Harvin can leave the end zone? "We use the lettering in terms of depth in the end zone," Murphy said. "Then, it comes down to film study in judging hangtime."

1:58 pm TE Vistanthe Shiancoe is the winner of the "Korey Stringer" good guy media award, which is given to the player who does his best to make himself accessible for reporters. "I like to run my mouth," Shiancoe said.

1:50 pm RB Adrian Peterson's father and some family members live in Dallas, so maybe in a shocker, he said some are torn on who to root for on Sunday.

1:49 pm According to The Dallas Morning news, Walt Anderson will be the referee for Sunday's game. In the one Vikings game he worked - Week 10 vs. Detroit - the Vikings were flagged 13 times for 91 yards.

12:24 pm The good and bad of QB Brett Favre: Against a four-man rush or less, he was sacked 20 times in the regular season, which was the 5th-highest total. However, in those situations, he completed passes at a 71.4 percent clip, which was the best in the NFL. Dallas had 27 sacks with a four-man rush.

12:23 pm The Vikings lead the league with the most All-Pro picks: RB Adrian Peterson , DE Jared Allen, LG Steve Hutchinson and DT Kevin Williams. The Cowboys have two: DT Jay Ratliff and OLB DeMarcus Ware.

That's funny, just goes to show, once a Cowboys fan, always a Cowboys fan.

Miles Austin will eat Benny Sapp alive if he goes outside and Winfield goes to cover Crayton in the slot.

I have a feeling this game Sunday will be feast or famine, nothing in between.
