Some of my thoughts on the game:

1. Thought Felix was better last week than this game. He didn't make many people miss. I suspect he was tired, jelly legged and is still not in top shape. Tanner is tough, but isn't going to wow anyone.
2. Running the ball that much (on 1st down especially) just doesn't put up points. It is proven time and time again and the stats don't lie. We have to pass more on 1st down and use more play action passes to setup big plays in the passing game. Otherwise, we will be scoring 1-2 TDs per game from now on.
3. I thought the Oline was decent. We didn't run well but I don't think the RBs did much with what gaps were there. Pass protection was good enough to score more than we did.
4. We have to try and find another playmaker at WR. I don't care if its Harris, Beasley, Holmes or someone else, but we need to see if someone else can bring a spark to the game.
5. I thought Spencer and Ratliff were very good.

At some point, we have to all realize that something is wrong (other than the oline) on offense. Either Romo isn't playing well, our RCVRs are way overrated, coaching is poor or the play calling/scheme is poor. Our challenges on O are not all about the oline. I have always loved Tony, but I am starting to wonder if he is part of the problem.

We should at least try some different things to see if we can figure out what it is. But running the ball a lot instead of taking opportunities to make big plays in the passing game isn't going to be the answer.

A lot of people on this board got what they wanted run and continue to run even if it is not working great and now people are complaining because we are running to much.

I never wanted to run 50% or more on 1st down. It is proven to not put up points.

The problem is that we are playing conservatively and we are not disciplined enough to sustain drives when playing that conservatively.

That was the last 2 games anyway. I knew this would happen after the way the Chicago game ended. That was a total offensive meltdown and Garrett is trying to get them back, I understand that but it took a defensive stand to win that game yesterday and that is something I am not comfortable with!

How long does it take a pro athlete to get in shape?
