This aplies to the "great one" Mr Merriman, The monster the feared one. He must have believed all the crap the media has been slinging. Because he didn't think he had to wrap up the ball carrier to make a game saving tackle. He thought his bloated reputation alone would bring him down. Lets talk about some of the most feared players int he NFL Ray Lewis, Urlacher, Roy Williams, Rodney Harrison in his prime, I am talking real players who are actually feared, great players. They all make that tackle. It's what makes them great. The game was on the line there is no way any player from the second string nickle back to the Defensive player of the year, No one should miss that tackle. I don't care if Merriman ends up with 15 sacks his season was a failure because of that play. He would have had a good season but not game changing great. period
If the situation was reversed and Merriman was with the boys and The Cowboys needed him to make that play to save a win. Then he wiffs. Forget it. 100% unanimous we would all agree we should have drafted Ware. Think about it and be happy that we actually did draft the right player. So you can take all your "Sacks" 50' inch plasma TV's, Razr cell phones, 22 inch rims diamond watches and all that other Bling Bling crap and stick it you know where. Because The Boys got the man who makes that tackle. Substance not bling. Sit back and enjoy the ride. It's only going to get better
