They can sure try, but they won't succeed. He is over the hill and on the downhill slide to retirement and not worth the $6.5 million Buffalo is paying him much less the $9.5 million we would have. That hit to our cap is better spent as an unpaid restriction on our cap with him not here than handed to him for contributing here.

Not missing Greg Ellis at all. Anyone see that Giants-Raiders game? Eli looked like his brother out there with all the time he had.

And I'm still rueing Akin Ayodele. Solid player that could have been kept for a lot less than we were trying to spend on Burnett. He's also infinitely better than Bobby Carpenter.

Only Roy Willy. I don't know that Sensabaugh has been MUCH better - maybe a little better. And Hamlin has been horrible. For some reason they don't garner nearly as much negative press. We have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.

But he had to go. So I can't rue it too much.
