  1. Dez Bryant and company- all of the starting wide receivers look really good. Even miles looks sharp and they moved the ball effectively. Heck, Terrance looks great in my opinion
2. Dunbar- that speed.......wow. This guy is going to be a threat in both the running and passing game

3. Our defense didn't give up any touchdowns at all through the entire season. A lot if you are complaining about how easy they moved on us. Essentially, the 4-3 is about long drives but the end results are field goals, not tds. Sean lee, Bruce carter look absolutely fantastic

4. Tanney! If this guy continues to grow, it will allow us to not look quarterback in this years draft.

5. Gavin Escobar- about time we see his worth

I'M TRYING TO CURB MY ENTHUSIASM BUT I LIKE WHAT I'M SEEING FROM MILES. I HEARD WILL ALLEN CALL HIM OUT PLAYFULLY IN AN INTERVIEW BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED.

I'm not really concerned too much about all of the turnovers. Dez and Dunbar both were in awkward positions when they lost the ball. Orton made a couple of bad throws, Tanney made one, and Harris got stripped. Nothing really connects all of the turnovers, so it isn't a pattern. We just made a bunch of dumb plays. Hopefully we got that out of our system. The D played good and kept us in the game, so that almost makes up for it. We need to be turnover free against the Bengals next week, especially in the first half while the starters are playing.

agreed there were some definite positives in this game despite the results. even on the fumbles they were great plays that ended badly but Dunbar showed his moves and Dez was just a beast the whole game. they will work on high and tight and protecting the ball. i'd rather it be that than missing assignments or running wrong routes or dropping the ball.

defense did a great job at keeping them out of the end zone. not to say that we want to give up the big plays but it is good to keep them held to field goals.

play of the game for me was when Miles caught the crossing route and trucked the DB at the sideline. it shows an attitude this team is getting

Our problem over the entire Romo era -- even more so than the OL -- has been inconsistency. It's almost unexplainable. One game we're playing flawlessly and it looks like no one can beat us, and the next game we look pathetic. Today, with the 3 freak fumbles by good players, was just another example of something that makes you say, "Only the Cowboys."

I agree but I will say that Orton looked just terrible his passes were off and it could've been worse. I think there was a reason we saw more of Tanney. Also I'm pretty upset with the Harris fumble because he didn't even attempt to wrap up with both hands. I agree on the Dez and Dunbar ones very awkward movements that caused those.

By the way, that Thaddeus Gibson looked pretty quick out there today. Anybody else notice him and have to look his number up there in the 4th quarter?

.......perfectly said. Just watched the first half on my DVR as I was working earlier today: that's the SAME garbage that's plagued this team on offense for YEARS guys: Romo missing a wide open WIlliams...an EASY throw BTW, then Harris fumbles with NO where to run: just DUMB. Then Dunbar fumbles weakly after a great run, then Dez fumbles in the open field and then Orton throws a stupid pick with no Cowboy in the zip code...........and some of you guys 'aren't worried'? LMAO....I'm not worried either, but the fact is this team won't win 8 games with the lack of execution we saw today. HOT GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, even on that play where the OT knocked him to the ground, he was still able to reach in and trip the RB.

I thought we moved the ball with relative ease with Romo in the game. We were eating up huge chunks of yardage. I agree that we've seen our share of crazy luck with Romo. We ca be steamrolling....then craziness occurs. Some his doing for sure, others are inexplicable.

Today was crazy. Harris was careless and didn't think of the guy behind him. I don't even know what Dunbar was doing. Dez is one of the NFL's strongest WRs, but he's stripped. We're deep in AZ territory easily. We just can't get out of our own way.

Not to be negative..

but if we continue to play from behind

..and average less than 10 points a game..

there isn't going to be enough.

This team has to be so much more..

but it really doesn't seem to have the ability to find itself.

No identity..no fallback reputation the other team needs to account for..

nothing.

same old same old man....like I said above: this has been going on for a LONG time. Nothing new whatsoever IMO....'craziness occurs'.....uh, yeah whatever you want to go with. They drive between the 20's with ease and bog down most EVERY time. It's a clown show. JG probably gone after this season if they can't put it together. Simple as that.

If it weren't preseason I'd be tempted to agree.

I like our direction. I won't knee jerk to a preseason game.

The Harris Fumble and the Orton picks really frustrated me. Dunbar/Dez fumbles were just awkward fumbles both going to the ground funny trying to brace themselves and the defensive players made good plays. If I recall correctly Romo got pressure right away and just misfired on that pass. So yeah I'm concerned about the execution but not so much. Honestly I'm more concerned if Romo goes down and we gotta play Orton that guy is god awful

Yep, he exploded around the edge on that play, and then lost his balance. But it was the second time that series where I had to do a double-take. He does look a bit light out there, though.
On the topic of the DL, it was nice to see Selvie and Bass out there with impact plays, too.

This may be knee jerk on my part but it seems like most of the dumb players are on offense. They need to do a better job of playing smarter.

You are hilarious.

Really.

This offense can score whenever it wants.
