Just got home from a Christmas party to check in here... good to see nothing's changed in this jolly ole forum.

Happy to see OU playing up to form. Just one down game this year and it cost us a perfect season, but good to see that we're going back to the National Championship.

I only saw the first half of the Bama/Florida game, but I thought Florida looked beatable. I think it'll be one heck of a game, but if Sam gets good protection I think we should be able to pull it out. I'd love to see a rematch with Texas, but I don't see that happening.

Anyone know how bad Murray's injury is? It'd be a shame if he wasn't able to play in the big game.

Apparently he's ok. He's staying out but got a bruised knee. Im curious to see what you think if you are an OU fan. According to Trick, any decent OU fan will admit Texas is the better team. If not, you arent manning up.

It would be nice since you represent yourself with red font that you can see this escalating into something it shouldnt. I would believe it is in the best interest of this website that you and I enjoy to start taking this offline through PMs or whatever else. I obviously cant ignore you so I find that to be a more conducive solution than this going back and forth.

Well, I'm so pissed right now that I can't see straight. If Mizzou had planned to roll over and play dead by the start of the 2nd freakin' qtr then their head coach should have done the honorable thing and declined the invitation to play in this game and insist Texas take their place. I realize that it sounds ludicrous but don't you think it makes more sense for this to happen then for all of us to be forced to watch a 2nd tiered team simply give up this early into the match? A championship match, no less?

Mizzou wasn't ready to play OU...not even close to being ready. Now the only thing they're ready to do...is go home.

I stated any decent Texas fan would agree that both Oklahoma and Texas are worthy to move forward. Hank is one of them and Mc Kaos is another. There are quite a few more on here as well that are huge Texas fans but realize that OU should be up there too. To state that any team deserves an asterisk because they followed collegiate rules is out of line.

They beat us, and were certainly the better team that day. But I don't think we played anywhere near our best game that day. Certainly some of that has to do with the game Texas played against us, but I just don't think we played up to our potential.

I don't necessarily think that the outcome of that one game establishes in stone that Texas is the better team looking at the sum total of the season... no more than, say, the Rams or Cardinals or Commanders are better than us based on their victories over us.

If you watch both teams play every week, then you can draw your own conclusions as to who the better team is. I think it's Oklahoma, but I can certainly sympathize with those who argue for Texas. They have a very strong argument as well.

OU is not worthy as they lost to UT... I would defend the same same argument were it reversed...

I could care less about anyone else... head to head is what matters...

Had OU won in Dallas I would be on the other side... head to head is what matters...

That is where we differ... I don't have to defend a "home team"... I can see them for what they are worth...

I have already expressed the fact to everyone here that I would offer my congrats to another team that defeats mine. I have done that with professional basketball and I have done that with some of my Commander friends when they beat us the first time.
