Mizzou to Join SEC

Thus WVU was brought in to be a replacement, a superior one at that.

i heard somewhere that it might not be for next year if WVU cant join the big 12 in 2012. Mizzou might be around for another year

Superior in recent success only (and barely at that). In terms of fanbases and TV markets it isnt close. This exchange hurts the Big XII's attempts to stay afloat.

butthurt aggie fan alert!

the big 12 will be fine as long as texas and oklahoma are there, they could have conference USA around them, they will still stay afloat, sorry that your schools move doesnt really matter as much as you had hoped for

:lmao2:Shhh, he's trying to feel relevant, nevermind that TCU and WVU are better football programs than A&M and Mizzou, the Big 12 has gotten better and not worse, it's the SEC that is bringing in two teams that might not even make a bowl.

Missouri is going to hate being in the SEC as much as A&M will.

But at least they'll have A&M to beat.

TAMU only needs to beat Kansas to be bowl eligible. Mizzou needs to beat Kansas and either UT or Tech at home. TAMU is in but Mizzou will be close. Next year is a different story, but I hear Mizzou might be headed to the SEC East where they can play Vandy, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Tennesse won't be down forever, but regardless it's a poor move by both schools in the long run, one that really doesn't elevate Mizzou and one that isn't going to flatter A&M's schedule, this former number 7 team is a couple of plays shy of .500 against a conference it is trying to jettison and with a loss at home to the Mizzou that's following it, not a recipe for winning.

What the heck are you even talking about? I'm not sure what "former number 7" is supposed to allude to or how you figure TAMU is shy of .500 when their conference record is 3-3. Do you just make this stuff up? Moving to the SEC is not about winning football games, if we wanted to do that we could have joined the Big East.

Sheesh, you really struggle with reading, just go away into irrelevance already, you argue about a bunch of nothingness, A&M is an irrelevant program to the state of Texas now, tell you what, get over it and whine on an SEC forum, the Big 12 doesn't care about you in any way shape or form.

Hey Aikbach, guess what? This is a Dallas Cowboys forum, not a Big 12 forum. The problem here is not my reading comprehension, it is your inability to write comprehensibly.

Your problem is that you're a whiner.

But apparently, A&M will be
Tennessee has done something in the recent past and in the SEC, A&M has not, Tennessee has a shot to recruit Peyton Manning like players and not proclaim every recruitment class and coach the "best ever" or a "savior" (ala Reggie McNeil and Dennis Franchione) that promptly disappoints and blames the predecessor.

A&M has done something just as recently as Tennessee. Both had their last 11+ win seasons and last conference titles in 1998. Since then, both have had the same number of .500 or below seasons. Since 1985, A&M has eight conference titles to Tennessee's five and only four fewer wins overall. The SEC business is completely irrelevant because we've never been in the SEC before.

Also, Peyton Manning was only the third highest rated QB in the country his senior year of high school. The first? Brandon Stewart, who quarterbacked A&M's 1998 Big XII Title game victory. Not to mention that A&M currently has a higher rated class than Tennessee does this year and both programs average a top 20 class every year. Oops.

And speaking of saviors, has any program in the history of college football hitched their wagon to one player like Baylor has to Robert Griffin? Your hypocrisy on this matter is blinding.

You sure are easy to aggravate, i did not read your diatribe because i do not care for your ignorant rants, bottom line in REALITY and topic is A&M is mediocre and always thinks they're better than that, the Big 12 is better off with the new additions than they were with the subtractions, you're clearly bitter you strengthened the conference as opposed to destroying it.

Big 12 with TCU and WVU > Big 12 with Mizzou ATM
