OK, the 2015 season is over.

Time to start talking about the 2016 season.

Free-agency will commence very soon.

Let's talk it up folks...

I'm hoping the Royals can keep Zobrist and lock up Gordon. Cueto showed up when it counted but he was way too shaky leading up to the series and will command big money. If Ventura can mature a little and learn how to control his big arm I will feel a little better about our starters but we are definitely going to have to strengthen the rotation.

I'm curious what the Blue Jays are going to do. I dont think they make a run to keep Tulo but If they want to take the next step they are really going to have to try to sign Price. I know he hasn't had much post season success but I think its more of a fluke than anything else.

Tulo isnt a FA till 2022 . Buehrle and Price are the two biggies for them. Then there's Navarro and Estrada.

Next year Bautista, Encarnacion and Dickey are FA's.

Baltimore has Davis, Chen, Wieters, and O'Day as FA's. Angelos hasnt wanted to give many big FA contracts in the past so it will be interesting see what they do. Many think Chris Davis will get somewhere between $20-25 million per year with a 6 or even 7 yr contract. Chen is a decent left handed SP so he should get some $$$$. O'Day might even get closer money but who knows Wieters coming off of TJ surgery didnt show much last year. Will some team gamble and throw $$$$$ at him, or will he sign a QO from the O's and try to increase his value?

Mets have to get better at SS and 2nd Base. Hopefully David Wright gets with his family and decides even 20 million dollars a year is not worth the long term health and retires. Outfield is set with Conforto and Granderson. Unless someone takes on Lageres contract he gets CF next year. Hopefully he loses 20 lbs and gets his swagger back. He really disappointed this year.

mets get back Zack Wheeler next summer plus have Rafael Montero. Starting pitching is the best in baseball. Now they need to solidy the 7th and 8th inning. Hopefully all the pitchers stay healthy.

The SS from WAshington has been mentioned for the Mets but I cant see the Wilpons paying what it will cost to get him.

Going to be interesting for sure. Spring training starts in less than 4 months. Wow....

I'm was happy Yankees didn't get any players before trade deadline.
I'm even happier now.

Only royals cashed in.

Who is out there for free agents for us?

Astros need some bats.

The Astros need a couple RH bats...

Valbuena and Lowrie are a perfect platoon for 3B.

1st base could end up going with one of the young kids.

DH... Gattis shouldn't play against lefties.

Give the Astros a couple RH bats and you have a set lineup.

The Blue Jays are going to have to come up with some huge dollars to maintain that team.

There's going to be a ton of pitching available.

And the Yankees need a starter desperately.

The trouble is they don't have anyone on that list who I consider to be an "Ace" at this point. Pineda is so up & down. Tanaka... he wasn't that dominant this season. Nova? Who knows if he's going to get back to where he was. Severino... could get there, but I don't think it happens this season.

They have a bunch of #3's through #5's, but no clear #1... I'm not sure they have a #2 either... maybe Severino.

LOL!

Well there are some similarities.

The Red Sox are in a similar boat. All three teams need at least one quality starter.

Where it really shows up is in the playoffs. Especially in the shorter 5 game series. The wildcard is a crapshoot and no way to insure your ace is in position to pitch that game unless you have that spot locked up w/o going down to the wire.
