Here's a story.....according to DLaw, Stephen flat told him he needed Two years of double sack season to get his long-term deal. That's exactly what he focused on during the final year of his rookie deal and franchise season. Got his deal and hasn't had a double sack season since BUT just voted to Pro Bowl as a total player ( run defender, pressures and sacks )

Bosa winning would not be a travesty of justice. He has been injured and comes back with a fire in his belly. But no one is playing like Micah, he does much more than Bosa in the defense. A linebacker/DE Hybrid tends not to accumulate the same sack count as a pure DE.

We didn't mind when we thought Micah was going to challenge for the sack record. Micah needed to have 4 or 5 INTs or a bunch of tackles to have a shot with less sacks. He doesn't, so he'll finish behind.

Bosa is ridiculously good no doubt about it. I bet Micah would be just as good or better if he played on that 49ers D. Those DTs alone would benefit him.

Bosa will win because the voters do not dig into the stats, the simply read the superficial stat lines. So comparing sack per rush attempt will not happen. But I am okay with Micah coming in second. It gives him something to shoot for next year. It will make him a better player.
