Our fans don't like McCarthy because he threatens the legacy of Tom Landry.
The Cowboys are a 12 win team. They have proven they can beat, stomp any NFC team, on the road or at home. They rise to the level of adversity. Dak has proven this.
Now, it comes down to MM. Can he get this team to win three straight on-the-road games to get to the SB? He's proven he can. No other NFC current HC can make that statement
Your thoughts?
That has to go to Daboll or Sirianni this year even tho the way we stayed in it with Rush should get MM in the conversation, it happened too early in the year for anyone to remember or care nowCOACH OF THE YEAR
Man... every game I just hope and pray that Mike doesn't do something stupid... If playoff success is dependent on Mike for in game adjustments, clock management, challenge situation we are in trouble. The Cowboys are a 12 win team. Gotta give the team and Big Mike credit for that!!Almost everyone thought season was over opening night, 12 wins later, great coaching job.
I am not impressed until he gets us to a championship game. That is the ultimate litmus testIt's been a great year, this team has beat some quality teams, and worked through some injuries. We are 12-4 with another playoff spot locked up.
I'd say he has done a fantastic job.
Will this translate through to the playoffs? Time will tell.
winning teams we beat NE, Chargers, and Philly twice..thats off the top of my head , stop discounting those wins. sure we struggle many fo those games were close like game 1 TB, and even the 9er game etc etcLast year, Dallas couldn't beat a winning team. Dallas did a 180 and now have beaten a majority of teams with winning records. Not to.mention they have beaten most of the teams heading into the playoffs.
I think those stupid / risk decisions were done in early part of the season. There's more at stake now and he'd more calculated.Man... every game I just hope and pray that Mike doesn't do something stupid... He doesn't call the defense, offense, specials, I guess he is just a great organizer.. My guess is he just takes attendance and makes sure the lights are turned off at the end of the day.
I can't argue against his record.I think those stupid / risk decisions were done in early part of the season. There's more at stake now and he'd more calculated.
MM has the better HC coaching resume among the NFC HCs.I can't argue against his record.
Let's look at the 6 NFC playoff teams right now.
Eagles, Niners, Vikings, Bucs, Cowboys, Giants.
To me Big Mike and Todd Bowles are fighting for the 6th slot.
We have to go back to when Jimmy Johnson was our head coach when I felt we were consistently the better coached team. This one thing is what has held Jerry back more than anything.
When he made that statement in March/ April of 1994... 500 coaches could take this team to a SB... Jerry never recovered.
Sorry for totally taking this discussion off the map...

Resume is one thing vs what you see with your eyes throughout the year or past two years.MM has the better HC coaching resume among the NFC HCs.
