Breer is a favorite of mine coz he has some serious ears inside the league. Similar to his mentor, Peter King

Dallas Cowboys

First round: Nos. 12, 20

Total picks: 8

Needs: ILB, Edge, CB

What you need to know: The Cowboys have at least explored a move up the board, and early buzz suggested it would be for Reese, who’d fit the old Micah Parsons role in the defense, with flexibility to toggle an off-the-ball position to the edge. But recent evidence points to multiple Buckeyes targets for Dallas, with the Cowboys still poking around potential veteran trade options at inside linebacker, leading to the belief that Styles could be in their sights as well. Regardless, it seems getting new DC Christian Parker more to work with is a goal for personnel chief Will McClay, with either a move up the board like that, or perhaps a combination like Bain at 12 and Tennessee CB Colton Hood at 20.

He needs to clean his ears and realize the cowboys would have to give up their entire draft to move up just to get one player

You get a sense from the article that trading up looks more UNLIKELY. Also, appears Brooks' trade is still an option for finding a starting MLBer.

Brooks imo is the best use of that 92 pick, or even better a 3rd next year.
Hes a day 1 starter, your defensive leader and perennial pro bowler.

High-level experience vet who can hit the ground running......you know what you are getting.

I'm throwing this here ......... from the same outlet. Connor Orr, like Breer has some serious skin but we will see here coz this prediction is bold

3. Dallas Cowboys (via Arizona Cardinals): Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State

Projected trade: Cardinals receive Nos. 12, 20 and a 2027 second-round pick; Cowboys receive No. 3

The Cowboys need both an off-ball linebacker and an edge. They were involved, at least in a cursory way, in the Maxx Crosby discussions, which possibly tipped the organization’s hand. Reese’s Micah Parsons comparison could lead Dallas to close the loop on the Parsons saga, which saw the team deal the transcendent edge rusher for what would ultimately become Reese, Quinnen Williams and Frank Clark. The Cowboys’ personnel staff doesn’t see much use for the team’s second first-round pick, slotted at No. 20, and here they opt for a win-now maneuver.

The only team in the top 15 he has that he doesnt talk about wanting to trade down is the dumdums in Frisco

Arvell Reese is particularly maddening to me because if they see him as the next Micah … why did we trade the real Micah for a rookie who might not even make a pro bowl, let alone be a four time all pro?

Well because that sounds exactly like the dumb stuff our front office does

At this point, where rh entire league wants to trade down, I’ve almost given up on that happening, so jsut take whoever at 12 and 20 and don’t try to get fancy.

Connor Orr sucks. And it's Kenny, not Frank.

I would not give up my extra 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick for an unproven player. Why trade Parsons away to give up your picks?

I pray for Bain and Hood-please

Those two help our team defense more then just one STUD.

Go Cowboys, as always I will support who our Cowboys leadership pick.

I remember a prior draft, we are on the clock and Im jumping up and down with excitement as my favorite pick by far is available. Within 10 min I'm devastated trying to digest a darn nasty Taco. Ifyouknowyouknow.

So basically a trade up with Arizona would make the Parsons trade, Parsons, a 1st and two 2nds for Williams, Clark and Reese. Really doesn't sound like a smart deal, but Jerry will do Jerry things.

Not that I dislike Breer, but this isn't anything that an average fan wouldn't know.
