I forgot this(play action) was Dak bread and butter at Mississippi State

1. Dak Prescott’s probably getting his new contract soon—Dallas owner Jerry Jones said as much postgame—and if it happens this week, he’ll have arrived at that milepost on a good note. Kellen Moore, the new OC, wanted to get Prescott playing off play-action more, since it was what he did so well at Mississippi State, and Prescott was nails when Moore gave him those opportunities against the Giants on Sunday. Three of his four touchdown passes came on play-action on first or second down. And beyond just how it happened, Prescott spread the ball around and led the offense like he needed to, getting five different players three or more catches on the afternoon. “He just had a great command of everything,” one staffer said. If this is who Prescott’s going to be in 2019, the Cowboys really are in business.

If Linehan would have just looked at film on what Dak did right in college and played to his style of football he would still be with a job.

Can anyone be that stubborn? Or maybe he was pressured by Garrett to run the offense like how Garrett would have wanted it?

More and more evidence of just how detrimental Scott Linehan was to this entire organization. It was as if the man was somehow paid to sabotage the team and destroy everything he touched. Literally every decision he had a hand in was the wrong one.

And it is very fitting that no team in the league wants anything to do with him. Those who repeatedly tried to defend him, take note.

Always hated that smug scowl he carried. Probably revealed his contempt for anyone that scrutinizes his playcalling and motives.

The responsibility lies in the hands of Garrett. Either he forced Linehan to run his horrible offense, or he was too incompetent and weak to make Linehan change.

Let's not forget Garrett hired him and kept him in power.

JG simply put too much trust in Linehan to follow the game plan that they put together doing the week during the game. Its why Linehan is not here now.

He was a first class *******. And has been forever. Check out his past history. His player in St Louis with the Rams absolutely HATED him! Marc Bulger threatened to retire rather than to play for Linehan any longer, and Tory Holt and Steven Jackson backed up the quarterback. He was run out of town on a rail after just four games in the season. A total disgrace.

And look at his track record here. When things went south, the coward didn't even have the guts to face the media. The Chaz Green fiasco? Guess who never showed his face to be accountable? Scott Linehan. He's been holding this team back for years, while fans defended him.

Oh I don't. That's a strike against Garrett too. He was helping out a friend who helped him out early in his own career, that's easy to see. But once again, relationships overrule good coaching in this organization. Garrett's entire career is evidence of that.

Honest question......you're an NFL defensive coor, how do you stop/attack out offense we saw Sunday?

If Prescott has another game like this against the dolphins on sunday , the media will collapse .
Many will say we have played two below average teams. I for one am wanting to see how we do against someone like Philly or the Pats. Now there is a measuring stick we can be proud of if we win against those teams.

Garrett wanted to run the 1990’s offense.

The skins are a better team than the giants. If he does it this week then they will sign him before the fins game. The fins have mailed it in for the year. Teams are going to pad there stats against them.

I was convinced that was so when the staff decided to let Kellen Moore relay the signals between Linehan and Dak. Dak gets along with everyone on the team, yet he couldn't stand to deal with Linehan and his obnoxious BS if he dared question Linehan about something. Hence, Moore was given the task of being the intermediary between them by relaying the play-calls. I think perhaps that might well have been the beginning of the end for him.

I have a huge list of reasons for why Scott Linehan should have been fired years ago. How this organization put up with him as long as they did is a mystery, much less the mistake of actually allowing the clown more influence within the organization. They somehow "doubled down" on terrible. And even his firing had to be 'sugar-coated' so as not to hurt feelings. It's things like that and people like him that I find very frustrating, and how long he held this team back, as well as the fans that defended him until the obvious occurred. Then they hide.
