Not necessarily... Lack of control can be coached up. He was clearly a raw player at his position, but with time, they could've probably worked him into the regular defense, if he had shown enough discipline.

A poor attitude can make you uncoachable. Had he shown a bit of remorse after his personal foul, I don't think Garrett would've had much to say about his style of play. He only showed remorse after being put in check about it.
