I missed it. What happened to him

He was in on a routine play. Everyone got up. He got up and fell backwards hard. It was hard to watch. CPR was administered for 9 minutes.

They said he was on oxygen as they put him in the ambulance, so he's breathing.

It doesn't matter if he ever plays football again. Just needs to survive this and be able to live his life. What a horrible situation.

Hopefully, they'll get some positive news soon. Can't imagine what his team is going through, wondering and waiting.

That doesn’t equate to him breathing on his own though.

My nephew is a paramedic that's on standby at AT&T stadium if a tragic event like this happens during a Cowboys game. I tried calling him to see what the protocol is in this situation but he couldn't talk.

Didn't see it happen, but CPR only takes place of his heart stops. Odds are much greater being that he got immediate compressions and medical attention. Obviously helps he's young and strong.

I didn't see the hit, but presume the cause wasn't trauma related.
