Because Jerry Jones is a stubborn, ignorant man. He was his pet project. Remember, he was hired as OC before Wade got here. That never happens. The HC is hired and he fills out his own staff. Now if there are leftovers from the previous regime he wants to keep, that is a different scenario. Garrett was brought from Miami. He was desperate to try and create his own organic Tom Landry but it failed miserably. Garrett for one, never should have made it past interim but ok he did. But he should have been fired after three straight 8-8 seasons and all 3 seasons had massive collapses and coaching blunders. And 3 straight losses to end the year where a win wins us the division. He's a loser and now the Giants can see why.

Now we just need Garrett to sabotage the head coach like he did Wade to try and steal his job.
