MNF: Ravens vs Saints thread

Again? Not the first time. At what point does Ryan tell him to shut up since he has a guaranteed contract (I presume). And the Saints have almost absolute rubbish on defense. Not much to work with there. The Saints' offense has been a bigger problem than the defense this year imo.

Ryan is working with the same players he had last season when some people were hailing him as a genius that Dallas should not have let go. The Saints offense is ranked 2nd by NFL standards and 4th by the Aikman efficiency ratings. The Saints defense is ranked 20th by NFL standards and 32nd by the Aikman efficiency ratings. The defense is the far bigger problem.

The statistics may say one thing but my eyes see something else. Was it the Saint's defense that could not score 1st and goal from the 1 yd line? Was it the Saint's defense which gave up a pick 6? Brees was off a lot last night. Don't forget the Saints were gifted two scores due to some very questionable officiating on 3rd down which extended drives. The Saints' offense has been off from previous years, way off. I don't see the Saints as anywhere near a top 5 offense. Not even close.

You are talking about one game. My eyes have seen several games this season and watched the defense give up yards and points especially late in games. They can't stop anyone when it matters and the statistics just back that up. The offense has it's issues and probably isn't a top 5 offense, but it is at least in the upper half of the league. The defense is just terrible and is bottom 5 in the NFL this year.
