sure he does...definitely looked like after he was taking some of those squashing hits...NOT

also, that little girlie flag for roughing the passer is probably typical of the protection he'll get from the league this yr...that was pathetic

that certainly was pathetic. I was sipping on a gatorade protein shake (they're delicious) and almost spit it up all over myself.

Vintage, looks like our red-headed step-child, Keith Brooking looks pretty good out there so far

We'll see what happens when the bullets start flying for real.

Hopefully, I was wrong.

Dead wrong.

The weak or the strong, who's got it going on, you're dead wrong.

So how did Brett do? I cant help it, I like the dude and want him to do well, except when he plays us, of course.

he made a couple of good throws...made a couple of so-so one's, and of course nearly threw a pick...

his td came on a dinkie screen pass when the Texans were blitzing, and whoever #26 is totally made a pusskatore effort to tackle the RB inside the 10, and he scored

from what I saw the first half tonight and the little bit he played against KC, it looks like they are going to have some serious probs with the blitz, and he isnt mobile enough to get away from it

Wasn't that the Tom Brady rule, can't go low on the qb?

have no idea, but all the espn guys agreed it was a b/s call, in spite of their love for Favre

like one of them said, he still had the ball in his hand when the hit was initiated...they called it "roughing the passer"...they made no effort to call it a low hit or explain it

16 Tackles. Man, I didn't realize that. I was watching some of the Braves game and not watching very close.

I did see Peterson take it to the house.

That linebacker from 'Bama is a flat out stud. He was great in college, too. When he got picked in round 2, they got a bargain.

Favre went at that guy's legs...

What is up with that?

The Vikings are going to be really good this year and Favre will take them to another level if he can stay healthy.

He can distribute the ball and I doubt he'll ever lose the ability to slide around in the pocket and buy that extra second.

The only question I have about Favre is can his body hold up late in the year because he doesn't look like he spent the offseason getting in tremendous shape.

That team is ultra talented though.

I didnt come away from this game thinking they were antyhing more than a middle of the pack team to be honest, or a last in wildcard team at best...they have a good defensive front 4, but past that not much on defense...their OL couldnt block the blitz in either of the two preseason games I watched...their WR's dont really scare anybody

Favre is a turnover machine...he always has been, always will be...he cant help himself...and as great a RB as Peterson is, he's had fumbling problems both his yrs in the league

Yeah I have to disagree too. The Vikings are obviously loaded at running back and their defensive line is one of the best in football, but they still have giant question marks in the defensive backfield and in their linebacking corps. Also, Favre vs. Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels means an inevitable increase in interceptions, and while Jackson or Rosenfels might not have set the world on fire where they've played, they certainly never turned it over as much as Favre has in his career. I still laugh watching that old video of one of our playoff games, and on the score ticker it shows the Packers losing to the Lions, with "B. FAVRE - 4 INTERCEPTIONS" :p:

might need to check the video because that could not have happened. The only times the Packers played the Lions in the playoffs, (twice) they won both of them.

Wonder if the NFL will have the stones to do anything to the crybaby after he pulled that potential career ender.
