Mo Claiborne balled

While Mo was not perfect he was in better position overall and even if there were some bad passes and drops mixed in, at the end of the day CB's can still gain confidence based on the end result. I think he is improving. I still think he is dealing with the knee and shoulder, at least mentally, if not physically still but he looks to be getting a little more aggressive each game. I think he is still trying to get comfortable in some of the zone schemes.

And Carr got beat with what have been a huge gain if RG3 was accurate last night. All corners get beat.

I hope yure not suggesting claiborne Is playing anywhere near carr's level because its not even close.

so who gets the Jackson assignment? I would think Mo...

While the secondary looked great, Pierre Garcon is not a legit WR1 and Santana Moss's deal with the devil where he destroys Cowboys defenses was apparently only good for so long. I hope they can keep it up against more talented teams.

It also seems like Kiffin had them playing press/man much more than the week before, which seems to be better for both corners.

Claiborne has a bad flail on that screen. Other than that his tackling was fine. Being carried a bit by a guy that outweighs you by 50 lbs is not 'sucking.'

He has a bum shoulder and that is going to cause issues with him wrapping up. I have a feeling that has something to do with his choice of technique.

Garcon dropped passes too. That was a big issue for the Commanders. If you are being fair that speaks to how Carr's game was. Keep in mind that completion % in the NFL are over 50% if you are doing better than that then you are ahead of the curve. All of our CB did better than that and they are showing that the Campo era is over with because they all show good ball skills. The diving PD on a crossing route Mo made in the second half was a tremendous play. It is doubly impressive considering how many issues we have had on those inside breaks all season long.

Mo deserves credit. He has struggled at times but he has played through it and made plays. He is getting better week by week. That bodes well for the team's future.

For all the crap he has taking this year he balled today. I'm happy for this young man I hope it boosts his confidence.

So far, he has not equaled the draft position required for him and the draft choices it cost. The DL and OL were the cost for him and we still are paying for that. When he performs like Car and QBs try to avoid throwing in his area, then we can say good things about him. Until then, I look at him as a hole in the secondary that needs to be compensated for.

PS

A once only interception only says that even a blind squirrel can occasionally find an acorn.
