1. Leighton Vander Esch LB(biggest need IMO and smith/Edmunds gone!)
2. Courtland Sutton WR
3. Josey Jewell LB
4. Deshon Elliott S
4. Taylor Hearn OG
5. Will Richardson OT
5. Justin Jones DL
6. Durham Smythe TE
6. Justin Jackson RB
7. Jordan Thomas CB

I had a hard time taking the RB we like Hymes or Hearn in the 4th but I went with the guy I thought could compete for a starting spot year 1(and bigger need IMO).

You see this 6th round guy competing with Zeke for the starting job. That seems absurd to me

Seems like you are admitting that you are reaching for need with the 1st pick...do you honestly believe Vander Esch is a top 20 player in this draft class? Or just the best LB left?

Sutton in the 2nd would really be nice. I’ll be surprised if he makes it to 50 but there are so many WR’s that are grading out similar that it’s not out of the question.

Jewell is a nice player for Iowa but I feared his athleticism would hold him back and the combine really confirmed that. I wouldn’t take him in the 3rd

Not that big a fan of Hearn. Maybe he had his reasons, but why would a mid round guard leave a college like Clemson early?

The rest id be good with. Elliot and Jones would be very good values where you have them. And I think Justin Jackson will have a decent career as a 3rd down back in the NFL

Round 1 is a bit of a reach reminds me of the Byron Jones pick. Taking a player with great measurables and high upside. I just did this mock based on what I think the cowboys would do. I’ve heard they like Vander Esch a lot
