Round 1: Benardrick McKinney | LB | Mississippi State
6'4 250 with reported 40 yard times in the 4.5 range. LBs typically fall on draft day so there's a decent chance McKinney is available when we're on the clock. Carter, Durant and McClain are all free agents and Sean Lee is coming off the knee injury, so LB has its fair share of question marks heading into 2015. Tone setter and emotional leader for the Bulldogs, he would fit in beautifully in either Sam or Mike roles for Rod. And if we do resign McClain, who wouldn't be excited about the imposing, physical LB crew we'd trot out with the addition of McKinney?
Ronud 2: Markus Golden | DE | Missouri
Relentless pass rusher who played in the shadow of teammate Shane Ray. He plays with the tenacity and effort that Marinelli preaches to his lineman. The production speaks for itself and he would fit right in with our young bloods on the DLine with Crawford and Lawrence.
Round 3: David Cobb | RB | Minnesota
Physical Big10 workhorse that is being overlooked due to some of the bigger RB names in this class. Cobb can pound between the tackles and could be excellent in our one cut running scheme. If Murray walks, we'll have to address the RB position, Round 3 would be an ideal time to look and Cobb would be a nice fit.
Round 4: Eric Rowe | CB | Utah
Physical corner who has no issues coming up to get involved in the running game or battling bigger receivers on the outside. Brandon Carr has not lived up to the billing and may be a cap casualty, while we're still scratching our heads trying to figure out what to make of Morris Claiborne. Rowe can come in and compete for playing time early.
