1. Kansas City- Luke Joeckle They have been trying to gin up business for a trade down to recoup their second rounder but eventually they sell Brandon Albert to Miami for Miami's Colts pick. Miami is tempted by a Roger Saffold offer from the Rams (and his $9million lower 2013 salary but they take the better player) Miami is going to use a second or third to trade up for Johnson or Fischer anyway.
2. Philadelphia Eagles- Geno Smith. Mike Vick nor Nick Foles is the long term answer and Jacksonville knows they can get their guy at 4.
3. Oakland- Shariff Floyd. They won't give up picks for Geno but Reggie McKenzie is going to make this team awful and young for a couple of years. Carson Palmer is going to be a Brown, a Cardinal or retired this year because it makes no sense to play a 34 year old quarterback on a last place team. Floyd is a very good player but his short arm make him a bit of a risk for some schemes.
4. Jags- Dion Jordan. Gus Bradley gets the best elephant in the room and a third round pick. I think this guy may be the best player in this weird draft.
5. Detroit- Eric Fischer They desperately need corners and end but take a LT to protect their big time quarterback and $4mm scatback.
6. Buffalo- EJ Manuel Tavares Jackson is their complete depth chart right now. Arizona takes him if they don't. This move buys time for the new regime and you can't take your 3rd choice at qb and hope to succeed like you can at wide receiver.
7. Cardinals- Lane Johnson- These guys desperately need oline help. San Diego is sad.
8. Cleveland- Dee Milliner. He is better (less risky) at his position than Ansah is at his. They have 1 corner on their roster.
9. Jets- Ansah is their guy.
10. Titans- Star Louteleilei should not be here but he is.
11. Chargers- Chance Warmack- I have very little feel for what they would do in this case. They need oline, wr and safety.
12. Dolphins- Barkavious Mingo- They need more pass rushers to beat New England because you beat them with rush not coverage. Plays SAM on run downs with alot of zone blitz. They will find another corner in the second or third round.
13. Jets- Cordarrelle Patterson. Revis eventually gets traded for this pick. Jets have no explosion on offense but Patterson and Stephen Hill give them 2 chances to find a dynamic x receiver to pair with Santonio Holmes in motion. They may try to trade this pick back.
14. Panthers- Sheldon Richardson- I wanted him to get to Dallas but I just don't quite think he makes it. I think he goes here or to St. Louis. They could definitely use a wide receiver too so they are probably pretty willing for a trade back.
15- Saints- Jarvis Jones. They ignore the 40 time and take a big time player.
16- St. Louis- Tavon Austin- They have 3 wide receivers on their roster with a combined 4 years of experience.
17- Pittburgh- Bjorn Warner- They have a guy who can fill the spot but they are used to dynamic OLB's. If Harrision comes back this pick becomes Xavier Rhodes who would help at corner or safety.
18- Dallas Jonathan Cooper. Welcome to Dallas. The guards aren't going top 10 and guard is not a more pressing need for anyone other than the Chargers.
19-Giants- Datone Jones- Drafting defensive linemen is what they do and Tuck is not going to be around there forever.
20- Bears- Tyler Eifert These guys are a danger to jump in front for Cooper. Their needs don't line up that great with their draft position. Randy Galloway's double dynamite actually happens in Trestman's TE centric offense.
21- Bengals- Kenny Vaccarro The Bengals keep taking good players.
22. Arizona- Barkley/Nassib/Glennon Trades up to this pick for a 2nd and a first next year. They are going to fall in love with one of those guys. St. Louis bets on RGIII being better and the NFC West than these guys.
23. Minnesota- DJ. Fluker- Welcome to Minnesota as an all pro guard on the team that had a 2,000 yd back despite substandard guard play. In a division where everyone has geared up to stop Aaron Rogers, Stafford and Culter they just told everybody to think about their base defense. Wow pick.
24. Indy Trufant. really good corner with jets.
25. Minnesota Sylvester Williams- Minnesota makes this their 3rd 300lbs player with their last 4 1st round picks.
26. Green Bay- Damontre Moore- Not about need but about value which seems to find them.
27. Houston- Alec Ogletree owner of a the Samuel Jackson bad man wallet.
Brady James started for them and Cushing is coming off of an ACL and some steroids.
28. Denver-Jonathan Hankins- Becomes their Red Bryant. Would not be surpised to see them trade up to 25 to take Moore instead.
29. New England- Kawan Short. They need a guy next to Wilfork and nobody made more disruptive plays than this guy.
30. Falcons- Tank Carradine They need a passrusher and here is one with elite strength. Osi, Tank and Bierman make a nice rotation.
31. 49ers- Matt Elam. They did not pay Goldson $8mm per year and this guy is a better player.
32. Baltimore- Arthur Brown Great players find Ozzie Newsome no matter where he picks.
47. Jonathan Cyprien- Good player that catches the balls and was a beast at the Senior Bowl. I have a feeling though that this pick is a real wild card for a Tank Carradine, Eddie Lacy or Jonathan Hankins that slips.
80. Dallas Thomas- Seems to be slipping down board but there it no reason for him to get past us given our needs at center right guard and right tackle.
114. Mallicah Goodman- We need more rushers on this team.
151. Joe Randall Very good player, excellent receiver but is a step slow
185. AJ Klein A 6th round pick that at worst backs up the Mike and Will.
