PFN using their rankings

12. Caleb Downs S - Ohio St.: jumped at the chance to grab a top 5 player in this draft. Gives Dallas something they've been missing for YEARS. A true leader on defense. Styles went 4, Bain at 8 and McCoy at 11.

Trade: At 20, Cooper was there, as was Mesidor and Woods. Texans offered 28 and 69. Traded down

28. Malachi Lawrence - DE - UCF: riser in the draft. Can get to the QB. Good size at 6'4 270 - solid addition to the defense. Upside is there to become a difference maker later in career.

69. Keionte Scott - CB - Miami: Explosive defender. Plays with a mean streak. This guy is the complete opposite of Diggs. Brings it every play. Dallas has show interest and is happy to have him fall here. Will instantly be a fan favorite.

92. Aiden Fisher - LB - Indiana: He's your green dot next season. Extremely smart player. Limited in size and not the greatest athlete, but makes up for it with in instincts.

112. Kaleb Elarms-Orr - LB - TCU: Explosive attacking LB - go get the QB type. Want to take two LBs in middle rounds if Styles isn't there. If you combined his athleticism with Fisher's instincts, you'd have a perfect LB. They could make a great pair in the future.

152. Nick Barrett - DT - SC: Big boy nose tackle who can rush the QB from the middle. Rotational DT with future starter potential.

177. Diego Pounds - OT - Ole Miss: 6'6 340 - lots of starts under his belt in the SEC. Swing tackle for now, who also could move to G if needed. Strong at the attack.

180. Cole Wisniewski - S - TxTech: I just like this player. Box safety - former LB. Smart player....which this teams needs more of. Probably special teams for now.

218. Domani Jackson - CB - Alabama: Wildcard pick - could be a homerun pick, could get cut during training camp. Former 5 star recruit who Parker could work with. Tons of potential but needs a lot of coaching.

Nice!

Smart trade down and even though I don't love Downs, 28-177 is a good run. I probably wouldn't double up on LBs there (and think that's too early for Fisher, in general) but these two aren't really redundant.

I really like Pounds - he reminds me a lot of Terrence Steele. Good value at 177.

Similar height and weight but they're both just kind of top heavy and have pretty similar combine measurables, but it's more in play style. Both have really good play strength and strong hands in the run game but neither is a particularly good athlete in the dropset so they a) struggle with speed and b) struggle to anchor consistently against the rush. They can give a lot of pop and rotational strength in the run game but when their hands aren't right they can get whooped against rushers. They're both also either RTs or guards in the NFL.

To be clear, I think a player who turns into Steele is a great pick at 177.

Steele is an Offensive Tackle! You have to mean Newman.

Think Downs, Scott are redundant as they both are projected as nickel corners. Much rather a better linebacker there
