Round 1: Jalen Ramsey | S | Florida State

Round 2: Kevin Dodd | DE | Clemson

Round 3: Chris Jones | DT | Mississippi State

Round 4: C.J. Prosise | RB | Notre Dame

Round 5: Cyrus Jones | CB | Alabama

Not bad if you're of a mind to wait one more year to get a QB and we pick up a guy life Jeffery in FA. I'd take that a step further, grab Lamar Miller and draft Deion Jones in the 4th.

Looks like one stater to me (Ramsey), potentially two (Cy. Jones). I am not a fan of Ramsey and Dodd made his name in the bowl game, but he gets the majority of his sacks/TFL because teams have to pay so much attention to Lawson. The 2nd is too high for him.

Dodd had 12 sacks this year and based on his physical tools (6-5, 280) you could argue he's just scratching the surface on his potential. Not many DEs in this class have his tools which is why some think he could sneak into the 1st Round.

If Hardy walks we're in the market for another End. Dodd would be a nice compliment to rotate with Tank and Gregory.

I know all about his stats (and size). I already addressed that. Lawson is doubled literally almost every single play. Even while murdering that RT in the bowl game, they still left Dodd blocked one on one. I'd like to see him stay at Clemson and if/when he sustains that sort of production, I would feel much more comfortable.

He has really impressed me this season, very strong and arguably the best Tigers DL in terms of consistency and disruptive abilities. He is a little of a one year wonder, but he looks very good. He is not your classic edge rusher, but looks like a quality left end.

Don't know if you remember Mike Rucker, he was the bookend to peppers on those really good panthers Ds of the early 2000s. Anyway, I see a lot of Rucker in Dodd... Probably with a higher ceiling but similar style rusher.

That is a very good comparison.

So your plan is to let Hardy walk and let Lawrence and Gregory man RDE?

It looks more and more certain that they are probably moving on from Hardy.

I think both Lawrence and Gregory could hold up RDE. Even though I understand Lawrence says he prefers the left side. I am not ready to think Gregory can handle three down duties yet.

Time will tell on the Hardy release. I bet they resign him, McClain and Claiborne.

I do wonder if this recent leak of info regarding Hardy is an attempt to re-sign him for cheap.

I do not think there was ever any danger of him being expensive. I strongly doubt he will have a ton of suitors lined up for his services.

I am sure plenty of people thought that last year as well. Maybe even more so with the controversy swirling. I fully expect Hardy to have offers.
