As we all know no mock is perfect. I am a die hard Cowboys fan who want them to win a Super Bowl this year. I would love to get the BIG names like Berry and McClain but we have to go with what we think and by what is logical based on JJ's position and his thinking. This Mock is with trades.
We need these positions.
OL
FS
DL
CB
KR/PR
WR
ILB

Round 1.
Possible choices: Mike Iupati OL, Earl Thomas FS, Maurkice Pouncey OL, Brandon Spikes, and Trent Williams OT

Earl Thomas FS
Speedy, great range, can improve tackling but he is a future pro bowler.
If he is not available we trade down for a high 2nd ,3rd, 5th. or we go with Maurkice Pouncey.

Round 2.
Possible choices: Brandon Spikes ILB, Roger Saffold OL, Damian Williams WR,
Maurkice Pouncey OL,Ducasse OL,Jason Fox OL

Maurkice Pouncey OL
very versatile and tough.smart player who can fill in for Gurode in the future and kick Procter out. If not available we chose OL Ducasse.

Trade Marion Barber and 2nd round 2011 to San diego's 3rd.
Round 3.
a. Jared Veldheer OT
Monster size Tough as nails and good at protection. With mentoring he can fill on the right.

b. Javier Arenas CB
quick feet which is great in the slot. A shutdown player and can be the KR/PR

Round 4.
Lamarr Houston DL
depth on the line could go in if we dont resign Spears.

Trade Ken Hamlin for 5th round pick

Round 5. Micah Johnson ILB
no fat, great character and a leader. good size and is smart.

Trade Sam Hurd WR for 2011 6th
Round 6.
Hunter Lawrence K: accuracy is second to none.

Round 7.

Kendall Tindal WR
a speedy tall demon. Reminds me of Vincent Jackson
or David Gettis WR
Austin Clone

Trade Duke Preston C for 7th

Stephan Virgil CB
At this point in the draft your hoping to find a diamond in the rough, a special teams contributor who can fill in and maybe even a developmental player who can some day be an every down starter in the NFL. Virgil offers all of these. Primarily a special teams ace until 2008 Virgil stepped up with 8 INT's while continuing his special teams thrills with 2 blocked punts. In 2009 all hopes of a repeat performance were put on hold after suffering a knee injury and failing to regain his health of form. If not for the injury it's possible we would be talking about this young man in the 2nd or 3rd round. His athletic ability, speed and skill set in addition to 08' film review may boost his stock before the draft. Can never have enough CB's
