This is a three round mock:
1.Vita Vea, DT, Washington (6-4, 340 lbs)
2.Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State (6-4, 242 lbs)
3.Marcell Ateman, WR, Oklahoma State (6-4, 220 lbs)
1.) Here it is. Vita Vea is that dude and who I have us taking against script. Because he can move and shoot gaps the way that Marinelli wants as well as eat up blocks and allow his fellow linemates and linebackers to flow to the ball attacking them. With how well this team gang tackles he is a needed piece to the puzzle because he is more than just a space eating stiff.
2.) Leighton Vander Esch is a heat seeking missile when it comes to playing the linebacker position. He has improved steadily throughout his career and he has become a star. The guy has a nose for the football, is a leader on the field. I think he fits perfectly in what Dallas wants to do defensively and as of right now I have him firmly in the middle of the 2nd round. I am also hearing rumors about Dallas liking him. I take him and he might be one of those second rounders who has an effective long term career.
3. Marcell Ateman is the kind of wr that Dallas likes on the outside big tall guy. He has decent speed and is a playmaker. James Washington is good and gets alot of pub but I like Ateman's game and think he's been a bit underrated.
Here it is. I personally have a hard time figuring late round guys this early because it is a crapshoot. But I think we can resign Cooper a reasonably low price to comeback and start at LG. I don't have an issue with him and I believe that we can get a swing Guards and Tackles with our five 4th and 5th round picks.
I think with the 3 4ths and 2 fifths a trade up in the second or third round is possible to get as much talent as possible.
I see us resigning D-Law and Irving and losing Hitch in free agency because I think getting Zach and Tank's new deals are top priority and I believe they fill that Jaylon is Hitchens replacement going forward and that a player like LVE can start right away in base and give us a talented line with more depth in case of Lee being out games as he plays alot like Sean.
I just think we'll see changes and that a guy like Vea couple be the against type pick you don't suspect because with the guys we have back these two players on defense address pressing needs in better protection by the front four inside and added depth and talent in the back three of the front seven.
