This is the first version, just to show u how I thought a month ago:
http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111615

1a. Troy CB- Leodis McKelvin
1b. Tenn. St. CB/S- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
2. Cal WR- Lavelle Hawkins
3. UCF RB- Kevin Smith
4. San Diego QB- Josh Johnson
5. Iowa St. DT- Ahtyba Rubin
6. Georgia C/OG- Fernando Velasco
7. Univ. of Miami WR- Darnell Jenkins / Oregon St. RB Yvenson Bernard

So now after watching the combine, I'll try my hand again. No trades, just str8 up picking with our picks. And I'll go with the idea that Flo and Barber are resigned. For some reason, I believe Jerry has a surprise pick for us somewhere on the 1st day, but I haven't figured out what yet. Without further ado, here's #2:

1a. Tenn. St. CB/S- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
The CB that we've all been waiting for

1b. Indiana WR- James Hardy
This is a future pick, I think he'll be serviceable his rookie year, but I want him groomed to take ova for TO

2. UCF RB- Kevin Smith/ Texas RB- Jamaal Charles
I know everbody loves Chris Johnson, I like him 2. But he won't be there when we pick in the 2nd and he's not worth a 1st. Smith is my 1st choice cuz I think he's natural runner, the 4.4 40 puts him in the 2nd. Charles is our true change of pace back tho.

3. Virginia Tech WR Eddie Royal/Iowa CB- Charles Godfrey/Penn St. CB- Justin King
This is the WR that will be the immediate impact, hopefully he's still around. Return skills, deep speed, and from watching him run thru drills very good hands(Young TG anyone?). Godfrey and King are quality CB to add to depth. U'll notice I had us picking 2 1st rounders in the last mock.

4. Texas A&M DT Red Bryant
I think we need a bigger NT in the rotation, other than just Ratliff and Tank. Fergs is trade bait for the Tuna.

5. Arkansas FB Peyton Hillis
I like Schmitt from WVA, but this kid is a better all around player, and he's only 7 lbs lighter. Someone had to be blocking in front of McFadden and Jones for some of those yards.

6. Clark Atlanta DE/OLB Curtis Johnson
I didn't know about him until seeing him in SilverBear's prospect thread, but after doing my own research, I'm on board. Give me as many potential beasts at OLB as possible

7. Texas S Marcus Griffin
Solid special teams, pretty good combo S, bad 40 time

I'll put my final mock up after Free Agency starts closer to the draft, and that's the one I'll roll with in my sig. So what do u guys think?

I don't think Red will be there in the 4th, but pretty solid draft.

1a. Tenn. St. CB/S- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
The CB that we've all been waiting for

Along with a lot of other teams, I hope we TRADE UP a few spots if he's still onthe board at 17 or 18 since it won't cost that much to ensure we get him!

1b. Indiana WR- James Hardy
This is a future pick, I think he'll be serviceable his rookie year, but I want him groomed to take ova for TO

I have him in my mock going here!

2. UCF RB- Kevin Smith/ Texas RB- Jamaal Charles

I would take Charles or Smith, I think Charles will be long gone though, maybe smith too!
I like it!

3. Virginia Tech WR Eddie Royal/Iowa CB- Charles Godfrey/Penn St. CB- Justin King

I like ALL 3 of them in this spot!

4. Texas A&M DT Red Bryant
I think we need a bigger NT in the rotation, other than just Ratliff and Tank. Fergs is trade bait for the Tuna.

Ferg is NOT trade bait, Parcells is CUTTING his older players and rebuilding, it's gonna be a few years before the Dolphins get back on track and Fery will be retired by the time they're any good!
BUT I love the pick of Bryant, but if we want him, we had better traqde up in round THREE to get him cause he might go late 2nd early 3rd and NOT be around in round 4.
If Bryant is gone as I predict, maybe Ahtyba is still here, although he ipressed also at the combines with his bench press, so BOTH might be long gone by late 4th round.

5. Arkansas FB Peyton Hillis
I like Schmitt from WVA, but this kid is a better all around player, and he's only 7 lbs lighter. Someone had to be blocking in front of McFadden and Jones for some of those yards.

I like the pick, don't know where he's projected since I didnt' research F.B.'s at all.

6. Clark Atlanta DE/OLB Curtis Johnson
I didn't know about him until seeing him in SilverBear's prospect thread, but after doing my own research, I'm on board. Give me as many potential beasts at OLB as possible

I like an O.L.B. prospect in round 6!
7. Texas S Marcus Griffin
Solid special teams, pretty good combo S, bad 40 time

Bad 40 time maybe, but certainly not gonna fall this far IMO!

I'm guessing since Ferg is gone to the Tuna, we move a big DT up our priority list a couple spots

Possibly, but it still doesn't have the sense of urgency that CB, WR, and RB have. As long as we have both Tank and Ratliff, i think we're OK at NT.

I like this mock. I'd rather see us get Rice at RB, but wouldn't be upset with Smith. I like Schmitt a bit more than Hillis too, but not too much. Good stuff overall. Good call on Ferg.
