Mock Draft 3.0 Found a Trading Partner! (5 rd's)

Both the receivers were on the board with Sanders, Seattle who has two 2nd round picks offered 52 to move up for T-Mac.

18-Golden WR Texas (Seattle traded up for my top receiver in T-Mac, but Cowboys still were able to land a target)
44-Williams NT Ohio State (with the UCLA LB off the board, top 3 RB's gone, took the best run NT in the class over filling CB)
52-Judkins RB Ohio State (with all the coaching changes, cannot see just a late back added)
76-Knight LB South Carolina (Mukuba went right before this pick, with Knight and Williams run defense has improved)
149-Smith RB SMU (the ideal complement, speed combo back to pair with Judkins for the future)
174-Ransaw CB Tulane (wanted to address the need earlier, but rather the NT over the corner, they would see it the other way around.)
A+
This is fire right here, nothing to even complain about.

Do you mind emailing this over to the FO?!

Slam dunk. Although in reality I can see them passing on the DT. I like Knight a lot. He’s an enforcer. Only problem is he’s 25…
Well then his prime years will be on his rookie contract

Not terrible.
Actually, pretty decent.
Cheers

Ransaw has nickel experience
That's fine, but he's a fifth-round pick. Nearly 80 percent of fifth-round picks fail. If we're going to take a corner that late, then take two and increase your chances of hitting on one.

Actually just looked it up and the success rate for fifth-round picks is closer to 16 percent.

Makes sense. Here's our fifth-round draft picks the last 10 years: Caelon Carson (don't know), Asim Richards (backup so far), Matt Waletzko (backup at best), DaRon Bland (starter), Damone Clark (backup), Simi Fehoko (washout), Bradley Anae (washout), Michael Jackson (washout), Joe Jackson (washout), Mike White (washout) and Ryan Russell (washout).

So that's one starter out of 10 the last 10 years.

Still have plenty of picks left to add another corner, as I said tried to take an earlier corner but the board just didn’t fall that way

I agree. I'm just saying if we wait until the fifth to take one, then we need to take an other because it's a clear need.

Frankly, I'd take two DTs and two RBs as well. I'd only take one WR, though, probably because we already traded a fourth for Mingo. Figure out those third, fourth and fifth spots from Turpin, Mingo, Tolbert, Campbell, Flournoy and Brooks.

Remember we still can use fa if some needs fail to be addressed through the draft.

I agree, 1 receiver the max as we already have a full room.

I'm not counting on that. I think we will use FA to address needs only if what we have already done fails.

I'd sign up for this, would rather double dip at Dl or LB at 149 though and grab RB in round 6 or 7

Need to see it to believe it as well, but it’s it’s an option none the less
I'm sorry, but as Parcells says, you are what you are. Since that is not something the Joneses do, I don't see any reason to expect it. What we get in the draft and UDFA is who we will carry to camp. If some player isn't working out before camp, we will cut him and replace him with another camp body, but precedent tells us that is all we will do.
