Indy #10

Dallas #21 and #54

1 # 21 S Andre Cisco -single high FS ballhawk that runs 4.3 It's a need for this defensive scheme.

2- # 44 Alim McNeil 3DT 6'2 330
2- # 54 Israel Mukuamu CB 6'4 200

3 #75 Tedarrel Slayton 1DT 6'5 358
3 #95 Quinn Meinerz C/OG 6'3 320

May be completely wrong. But that looks extremely high for Cisco.

Id take Washington, Grant or Moehrig over Cisco. But that’s just splitting hairs for a mock. Like I said, I’m sure somebody can point multiple mocks with Cisco going that high.

Position and and the rest are and A+ for me

IMO McNeil is a 1T not 3

not sure about rd 3 but with those top 3 I would go

Nixon DT
Moehrig FS
Browning LB

Seems most S's in this draft will be a reach in the 1st round, in the top 25. Just from things I read. 2nd round would be better.
And maybe only a few CB's in the top 25 as well.

What hurts is with no combine, players can't help their drat position, or hurt them either.

This years draft, will be a bigger crap shoot than ever.

Cisco might be available in day 3, you have him in rd 1. Mukuamu is also extremely way too high.

Like the emphasis on defense, and the trade back.

But not a fan of Cisco at #21 - From one draft profile listing: "While his ball production is exciting, he is a freelancer in coverage that is always looking for the big play, but that results in far too many blown coverages. In addition, Cisco is inconsistent when it comes to run fills, tackling, mirroring routes in man, and anticipating routes in zone. From a technique standpoint, Cisco has considerable room for growth." Too raw for a number one pick.

Not a fan of Slayton at #75, either, for one he's way too tall for the 1T position, he does seem to be able to get his level down, but NFL centers can do that too, and most of them are several inches shorter. And even at 6-5, 358 is too heavy, he's very liable to have weight problems. Lastly he doesn't provide much pass rush, which is needed in a 4-3 DT, even taking up 2 o-line players that leaves our other d-line guys one on one, and to this point none of them have done much in pass rush, if your middle guy can't provide some we're no better off than before, imho, except in run defense, which is only half the battle.

Otherwise it could be a good draft....

The only pick I really like is Slayton in the 3rd round.

I'll give you my latest mock.

1- Caleb Farley CB Virginia Tech
2- Chaz Surratt OLB North Carolina
3- James Wiggins S Cincinnati
3- Cole Van Laan OT Wisconsin
4- William Bradley- King DE Baylor
4- Lorenzo Neal DT Purdue
5- Amari Gainer OLB Florida State
6- Issiah Chambers DE McNeese State
6- Liam Dobson OG Maine
7- Meiko Dotson CB Florida,State

Way high. Cisco was ranked fairly highly early but as of right now, before combine, I think he's viewed as a possible second day pick, maybe late second but I don't think he's graded as a 1st round guy at this point.

Moehrig is going to run 4.6. This is ok for cover 2 and if yr front Dline has elite rushers.
With cover 3, the FS needs to have elite speed and ballhawk skills. I think Cisco is the only one in the draft.

Im using drafttek as a guide for value and who's available. Caleb Farley and Surtain are iff the board.

He is an All American and top 15 if not for the knee injury in September. 13 interceptions in 2 seasons +2 games. Runs 4.3

I'll take the same scenario and go with DT Christian Barmore of Daviyon Nixon at 21, McNeil at 44 and Richie Grant at 54 (or Trevon Moehrig at 44 and McNeil at 53 based on some ratings). Then, give me two corners in the third; some ranking showing Mukuamu being available in that round or later. Maybe Keith Taylor, who had a great week at the Senior Bowl.

This fixes the interior of our line and gives us the rangy safety that is needed with Quinn's favored scheme.

Don't care for Tyler Shelvin and don't think Patrick Jones drops that low, otherwise I like it.

I don't think we should trade down...I think that would be the biggest mistake. If we do I don't think it should be too far down unless they are offering a 1st next year.

Only player I really like on that list is Alim McNeil.
Not as high on cisco as others seem to be.

I would also hope we could get a better corner.

Why dont you like Shelvin? Curious
I think he is going to constantly have to watch his weight.. Every year going into Training Camp the fear what did Shelvin do in the off season? Could be lazy like Dontari Poe and at 350 lbs Poe ran a 4.8 forty at combine, but never did anything beside run that 40. Guys like Shelvin will eat their way out if the league. You see Louis Nix in the league? Notre Dame NT a few years ago people had a 1st round grade and projecting him to Dallas? He was a fat guy too.
