I am starting to warm to the idea of picking Kamerion Wimbley. I still prefer Lawson but if Wimbley is there and Lawson is off the board I will still consider that a win.

I completely agree, especially when Carpenter is at # 18.

Add Fifita in the Fifith

and it'll be even better.

By the way, that draft value chart would indicate that if you packaged our 5th and 6th rounders, you could end up getting #122 overall. That's a FOURTH ROUNDER for those of you scoring at home. I'm not saying that the owner of # 122 (Tampa Bay) would accept a trade down but it is an indication of what it would take to re-coup our 4th rounder.

Well drafts aren't in the business of putting out their accurate predictions right now. I'd take another look on Friday of next week. Even so most think he's a late 20s pick rather than an 18 pick.

Just for fun, I did some quick calculations on the #18 picks. The most selected #18 picks are:

Wimbley - 14.5% - LB
Williams - 12.9% - CB
Whitner - 11.3% - S
Lawson - 9.7% - LB
Allen - 6.45% - S
McNeil - 6.45% - OT

The selections overwhemingly favor the defensive side and favor Safety if you consider Williams as a "move a guy to safety" pick. That's not what I would have expected based upon the importance of the LB position to the 3-4. Maybe the quality of pass offense in the NFC East is overriding the necessity of stopping the run.
