Coordinators send their best pass rushers after the QB regardless of what side they play on. Both sides have to do the same thing: set the edge, cover the flats, rush the QB, tackle the ball carrier. I hate that excuse for why Spencer doesn't make more plays for us... he has "responsibilities".
And the sack numbers are neither here nor there, I wasn't harping on them as the end all be all for how productive those guys are.
Shows how much you know about the 3-4
the SOLB has to do those other things besides rushing the passer far more than the WOLB does.
Spencer makes plays just not as many sacks, that why you don't notice it. You don't notice it when the RB doesn;t get the ball in the lats or the TE due to being covered.
SPencer plays on the same teams as Ware who rushes the passer awhole alot more than SPencer adn usually the same time as Spencer. Of course WAre will get there before Spencer will. No one is better than Ware.
Spencer has 46 tackles, 35 solo, 6 sacks, 5 stuffs, 2 forced fumbles, and a PD and blocked a FG. What else do you want? What should he finish with? What do you expect? Or what are you looking for?
Clay Matthews has 36 tackles, 26 solo, 6 sacks, 4 stuffs, 2 forced fumbles, and 8 PDs with 2 INTs.
so really where's the difference. Same amount of sacks, Spencer has more tackles but Matthews has 2 picks and 8 PDs.
Not saying Spencer is the same as Matthews becasue I thin Matthews is far better player but the stats compare.
