btw BP, tell me about WVU OG Greg Isdaner
he decided to declare, I read that he's big and likes to use power, and that he was 1st-team, Big East
You have to remember that WVU uses a zone blocking scheme for their O-Line.
Not that any of these guys could not work in a power blocking scheme but you should keep that in mind.
Most have room to put on weight and the athletic skill.
That was some of the problem at Michigan with Rodriquez his first year. He wanted lighter more mobile O-linemen and Michigan was known for having great O-Linemen. They made them lose a bunch of weight and it hurt their running game for now.
If you want an O-Linemen with great athletic skill, with a frame to get bigger and probably more upside you might want to look at the RT who is in the draft this year. Selvish Capers...again right now he would be great in a zone blocking scheme though.
Or you could look at Ryan Stancheck at LT.
Isdaner however might be more of what we are looking for because I imagine he would be good depth and could be an OG or possibly a RT in a pinch. I just don't know if he has as much upside as someone like Capers. Plus I think you might get Isdaner as an undrafted rookie fa or 7th rounder so that might seem more of a buy and a depth guy to take a chance on.
All or good players but I don't know if they would wind up starters down the road for the cowboys....unless Shanny comes along to coach and changes to a zone blocking scheme in which case I think Capers might be the kind of player he wants.
