Anyone getting headaches from all the scenarios that are in play, or could be?

I don't mind all the mock drafts, all the trade down mocks, or any difference in opinions. Picking at #4 opens even more of a variety. I love all the different mocks. But what I mean by draft headaches, in figuring out what your mock draft is.

At the end of November, when we were picking from around 6 to 18. I did a mock, then revised it a bit in mid December. Now that we are set at #4, I did one right after the season ended. A mock, and a trade down mock.
But now looking at it again, there are so many variables. I will probably wait until after the combine in Indy to really look at it.

But, QB of the future while one is there. Or wait until l the 3rd or 4th round. And get players that help now. But what if that QB doesn't pan out, then we are without a QB. As Tony can be ended with one hit.
RB, what if Elliot is there [if he moves up the charts or we trade down] but the team does not think we need a RB, then DMC goes down. Same for Treadwell, too good to pass up, but the team think they are fine with Dez & Twill [for another year].

Much depends on FA too, and can change a mock draft quite significantly. Unless they truly go BPA regardless.
Like if Hardy signs, and Bosa is there, what do you do, but Wents or goff is there too, but bosa is your BPA.
What if Hardy does not sign, and Bosa and Wentz are there?

How do you look at this?

I think its going to be a brutally long off season.
I have developed myopic vision and I see the first pick as one thing.
It's not the right way to look at the draft but we're in a odd slot #4.

It's either QB or trade down and trade down leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I'll change my mind thou a dozen times before the real action takes place.

that's the DRAFT game you have to take your shot at one of the QB's IMO

is a 3 or 4 rd QB going to give you better chance - then we are looking at 8-8 seasons over an over

we got a take a chance on Goff Lynch or Wentz

I think many of us will be doing the same.
I am not a fan of the trade down. but this is one time if they don't trade out of the top 10, and can get a 2nd, and possibly 4th round from it. I wouldn't complain. But it dpends what players are there, and who they pick of course. And will be all hindsight responses.

We dont know quite how the scouts and coaches will evaluate the 3 QBs.
I have my assumptions but that and a dollar fifty will buy you a .... well you know .
I look over the 2nd round and down but dont really know much.

I do think on 1st night draft some heads are going to explode on this board.
There's going to be so many declarations of the FO are idiots and that'll drag
us to training camp. Off season kind be drawn out

3 things I'm set on:
No RB
NO QB
No Bosa

Those 3 things are set when mocking @#4 pick for me. I'm leaning towards a Defensive rejuvenation..... Which we NEED!

I will watch Breaking Headline News of a many small Nuclear explosions throughout the country...then, to find out, it was just heads exploding....

No headaches here!

I like the position the Cowboys are in; they can grab a franchise player for the future (QB) or they can draft an immediate impact player at any one of five positions.

My preferences (at #4) in the 1st round:
  1. QB -- Prefer Goff or Wentz but okay with Lynch
  2. DE (Bosa)
  3. DT (Robinson)
  4. LB (Smith or Jack)
  5. DC (defensive corner, with respect to Risen Star:p) or safety
Note: I would be fine with Elliott -- yes, I know I am an idiot, moron, fool, whatever -- if that is the direction the Cowboys go.

No, because I rarely pay much attention to the mock drafts and these fan sites where you can do them are fun for about 10 minutes but what you usually see posted as a result is just outlandish madden type stuff. Hey, I traded this for that, this for that and this for that and here are my 26 picks....

I've never cared who has the most accurate mock draft. I have always been more interested in who has the most accurate projection of these players' pro careers. That means more to me than where they go in the draft.

I sure as hell hope the staff is worried about the skill position players on this team. We go in with the same players even with Dez and Romo get ready for a top 10 pick again.

That part gets me, all the trade downs with way more picks than what we need.
I don't mind the trade down 1st round or the 2nd round, but not both.

But I do like to see the different perspectives. If no trades or a reasonable trade.
I don't care who is accurate or not either.
