Cuts/players we don't resign
-Felix Jones
-Kevin Ogletree
-John Phillips
-Nate Livings/Mackenzy Bernadeau (they compete for a roster spot)
-Marcus Spears (just not a good fit in this system)
-Kenyon Coleman
-Dan Connor
-Mike Jenkins
Resigned Players

*want to note that I believe we will keep Jay Ratliff, may restructure him to save space, but I think the team wants to see him in a 4-3. On top of that, I see us keeping Doug Free as well. If I am correct, we can push a lot of his base salary into 2013, and if need be cut him then, and spread the cap hit out between 2013 and 2014 (no $5 million dollar cap penalty in those years). I think we restructure Free, but if we can replace him, he could still be a training camp casualty.
Free agent signings
-Andy Levitre (I think we create enough room for one splash. Byrd gets franchised, so we focus on the o-line instead. He starts at day 1 at RG, next to Free, in the hope that we can focus our protection to hide Free's weaknesses, or to help his replacement.)
2013 NFL Draft
*Right now, I have us trading down on round 1, let's say to 23, assuming Minnesota is eying a specific player and is willing to trade a 3rd.
1.) Barrett Jones, C, Alabama
Day 1 starter and hopefully a future pro-bowler. I think he can provide a huge upgrade from what we had at the position last year, and I'm almost willing to reach for him at 18, instead of tradding back.
2.) Kewaan Short, DT, Purdue
If he's there, Short has to be the pick. Very productive college player, that now we are playing in a 4-3, fits right in with what we want to do. I don't think he'll be the day 1 starter most will want, but I think he can be a productive player from the start
3a.) Chris Faulk, OT, Louisiana State
While I really think both players I have us taking will be there in rounds 1 & 2, this one, I'm not sure about. If not for the ACL injury, he would definately be a 1st or 2nd rounder, but the potential is there. Similar size to DJ Fluker, but quicker feet, definately a RT only prospect, but I think he actually can play it and won't be forced to play guard.
3b.) TJ McDonald, S, USC
From what I understand, McDonald and Kiffin had a good relationship, so I can definately see us targeting him. He can compete with Barry Church, and hopefully he can have a better pro career than his college career (which wasn't bad).
4.) Kenjon Balmer, RB, Oregon
Speedy back that should complement Murray well. Has some expierence returning kicks and punts, so his ability to conrtibute on teams is a plus
5.) Sanders Commings, CB, Georgia
Has the size to play physical, and quite frankly, we need the depth at the position
6.) Michael Williams, TE, Alabama
Pretty good blocking tight end, should fit better on the roster than Phillips
