Resign McClain and Claiborne
Sign Lamar Miller

Round 1 Pick 15 (L.A.): Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
Could start day 1 opposite of scandrick.
Round 2 Pick 3: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State
Would be a nice addition to the d line rotation
Round 2 Pick 11 (MIA): Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
Can learn from romo 3-4 years
Round 2 Pick 12 (L.A.): Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Excellent choice and starts #2 wr day 1
Round 2 Pick 14 (L.A.): Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State
Just what we need on our dline
Round 3 Pick 1 (TENN): Su'a Cravens, SS, Southern California
Could start at ss opposite of jones for years to come
Round 3 Pick 4: Chris Jones, Dt/DE, Mississippi State
Great rotational player that can play any position
Round 4 Pick 3: Eric Striker, ILB, Oklahoma
Underrated linebacker that would fight for playing time out the gate.. Would rather Scooby wright here
Round 6 Pick 14: Rashard Robinson, CB, LSU
Has a good chance to battle mo for the 3 spot and play the slot corner role

Traded our 4th pick to Miami for their 1st-11th and 2nd-11th

Traded the (Mia) 1st 11th to Rams for their 1st-14th and 2nd round 12/14th picks

Yes. A QB to learn for 4 years.

Gee, then he's a free agent.

Smart approach.

For that matter, it's wishful thinking to believe that most of these players will be available when this mock has them being taken.

Hargreaves, Lynch, Doctson, and Cravens won't last until those spots.

Rams wouldn't trade their 1st and both 2nds for #4, much less #11.

Other than all that being pure fantasy, great job.

I know its not very realistic. I did it on first pick.com. It was just for fun but came away with a lot of talent.

If he's ready to take over by year 4 you can sign him for an extension. Duh

There are 18 QBs in the league making over 15 mill a year.

That's the going rate for signing a starter. We are going to have two guys under those sort of deals?

That's some magical thinking there.

Why would you pay an unproven qb 15 million a year. You my friend have some great thinking. You wouldn't have to pay top money to a 4th year player that's never been on the field.

Fact is, someone will. If we like the guy, we've got to lock him in. Otherwise, Romo is gone and so is his heir.

Nearly half of the NFLs starting QBs make that much. Yet a hot prospect who sat and learned isn't going to command that much? You aren't paying attention if you think that's true.

Ryan mallet never was paid that much after sitting behind Brady, aj mccaron won't be paid that much when he leaves bengals. Osweiller will be lucky to get that much and he has showed he can win games. Matt Flynn was never in paid that much once he left packers. Was paid well but never 15 million a year. Colt McCoy isn't gunna demand that type of money this offseason. Tyrod Taylor wasn't paid that type of money after he left. Chase Daniels wasn't paid that type of money after he left New Orleans when rookie deal was up. They don't just give out 15+ million dollars to players that haven't proven anything. Wake up

Ryan Mallet was a third round pick who is an obvious head case. Matt Flynn was a 7th round pick who received nearly 7 mill a year after leaving the Pack. Colt McCoy, third round pick. Tyrod Taylor 6th round pick. Chase Daniels was a UDFA.

That's a heck of a lot different than a top 5 pick who sat and learned for 4 years.

If we don't want to spend, don't pick a backup that high.

and add Bradford and Cousins to the 15+ mill club

But a top 5 pick at QB wouldn't be looking at that sort of money after 4 years. Right....

These guys have won games and made playoffs in the league. They will get paid.
If Brett Favre would have stayed in Green Bay 2-3 more years and Rodgers rookie deal would have ran out they would have Not had to pay 15 million to keep him. Proven qbs get paid

Let me ask you this, Robert griffin has won rookie of the year, led his team to the playoffs. Now he is searching his second contract. He's done more than a guy holding a clipboard. So in your opinion he will get the 15+ million?

Bradford has made the playoffs? He's never played on a winning team. He has a 25-37-1 record as a starter. But yeah, a top 5 pick isn't going to command a big deal. Here's a top pick who has been inconsistent and injury prone. Unless a top 5 pick goes all Ryan Leaf, he's got a ton of value

Stop with the "ifs" - you have no idea how Rodgers would have been valued on the open market after four years.
