I'm of the mind set that Dallas needs to have two draft boards. The 1st board is to be used for the 1st 5 rounds of the draft. It should only consist of DE, LB, DT and S. I think CB is the only position that isn't truly as must this next draft with Bland and potentially Revel Jr. developing. The 2nd board can be the rest of the positions for the remaining portion of the draft. I don't care if a top Oline, WR, RB falls to them - they have to work on fixing this defense.

So with that in mind - here was how PFN fell for me - no trades

15. Peter Woods - DT - Clemson: I'm not sure if he'll fall this far, as he was a top 5 pick coming into this season, but he hasn't really stood out on a struggling Clemson team. However, this guys tape stands out - he's a disruptor at DT that this team needs. Excellent football IQ

31. Kamari Ramsey - S - USC: Smart player - excellent in coverage. Can also play in the slot at CB if needed. Plays with violence. Still needs some work on tackling - but S has been ignored on this team for way to long. Excellent football IQ

47. Anthony Hill Jr. - LB - Texas: Playing making LB. Great size and speed. Diagnosis plays quickly and attacks. Huge need on this team. Solid football IQ

115. Dani Dennis-Sutton - DE - Penn St: At 6'5 270 - he's a large DE that excels in setting the edge and maintaining his gap. The opposite of what we have now opposite of EZ. Solid football IQ

156. Boubacar Traore - DT - Notre Dame: Elite explosion off the snap. Large frame with room to grow. Still needs some development in pass rush moves, but could grow into something special. Did have an ACL injury.

177. Trevor Goosby - OT - Texas: Plays LT. Not an instant starter but has traits, size and elite movement skills that with the right coaching (which I think we have now) could turn him into a starter eventually.

223. Michael Taaffe - S - Texas: This is your future leader on defense. This kid is just a smart player. He's not the biggest, or fastest - but he'll beat you with his brain. He's a student of the game x1000. Can also contribute in special teams...where he excels. Elite football IQ.

This team needs SMART football players - they seem to really be lacking that right now on the defensive side of the ball.

It would be a haul of a draft. I'd definitely be happy if this were possible.
The first 3 picks are feasible, the last 4 picks should all be gone by then. PFN draft simulator isn't very realistic, with their draft rankings.

Traore is an Edge at 255 pounds not a DT.
You nailed the positions of need though.

I just did a 4 round mock at PFN:

15 - Woods, DT
31 - Styles, LB
47 - Nussmeier, QB
115 - Singleton, RB

Not very realistic. Styles wouldn't be there at 31.

I like the players from what I've seen so far this year. I think Hill is probably gone at the very top of round 2 or end of 1. Sutton probably an early 2.

Haven't watched Ramsey yet but our play this year makes me think it's time to start digging into safeties hard.

I love the Peter Woods pick but he probably goes top 10.
We may end up picking a lot lower but right now we pick 15th and every team lower than us keeps losing.

When play around with this simulator he is always there when I pick but you are right; not very realistic.

We definitely need help on defense. The simulators are fun to mess around with. Always interesting to see how much their rankings change come combine/pro day time. This is what I got with PFN.

15 Jermod McCoy CB Tennessee
31 A'Mauri Washington DT Oregon
47 Domonique Orange DT Iowa State
115 Taurean York LB Texas A&M
156 Malik Muhammad CB Texas
177 Nyckoles Harbor WR South Carolina
223 Robert Henry Jr. RB UTSA

Seeing the players selected here with GB's 1st is exactly why I would trade the pick in a New York minute for an ALL-Pro defensive vet still in his prime ( Hendrickson, Crosby, Quinnen Williams, Jeffrey Simmons) . With these players I KNOW what I'm getting vs GB's 1st is basically a 2nd, meaning you're not only drafting a rookie but one with some risk/limitations.

Waiting til pick 115 to address LB would be a mistake. LB and Safety need to be at the top of the priority list.

I know they probably won't be enough to get him but if it was it would be worth it

The hole woody left has never been even slightly filled
Why stop at 2? Lets give up all 4 rd 1 picks for a safety

Is there enough 1st round talent in this draft to warrant 3 first round picks?

Now list the polar opposite of all these players and welcome them to the team lol.

We need a top 10 pick.

Take SS Caleb Downs, then trade back up for MLB Arvel Reese.
