Round 1

1
hou.gif
Houston Texans (0-4)D'Brickashaw Fergson OTVirginiaAt this point in the year, this is what is most likely to happen if we aren't projecting trades. I am not completely sold on Ferguson as the top tackle in the draft, but as of right now, no one has overtaken him. Houston desperately needs help on the offensive line and will almost certainly take advantage of this strong group of tackles. 2
sf.gif
San Francisco 49ers (1-3)AJ Hawk LBOhio State Hawk would project inside if San Francisco continues to play more 3-4. Derek Smith and Jeff Ulbrich are solid, but Smith is getting older and neither are the game changer that Hawk could be. He could really become a leader for this defense. 3
min.gif
Minnesota Vikings (1-3)Reggie Bush RBUSCThe Vikings have a lot of running backs already and a lot of them are smaller, 3rd down type backs, which many people will say Bush is. However, none of the Viking backs have Bush's flair. He'll give Daunte Culpepper help by solidifying the running game and is also capable of being split out or catching the ball from a slot position. 4
ari.gif
Arizona Cardinals (1-4)Matt Leinart QBUSCDenny Green has said that he likes Josh McCown, but McCown hasn't proven himself yet. If Leinart is on the board here, it would hard for the Cardinals to not take him and unite him with their excellent group of young receivers.

5
gb.gif
Green Bay Packers (1-4)Chad Greenway LBIowaThe Pack have a couple of good linebackers in Na'Il Diggs and Nick Barnett. Robert Thomas was a nice pickup, but the chance to add Greenway as their weakside backer might be too great to pass up here.

6
chi.gif
Chicago Bears (1-4)Joe Thomas OTWisconsinThomas has been dominant so far this season and is really proving that he is a top 15 pick if he chooses to enter this year's draft. The Bears have largely ignored their line problems in the past couple drafts, so they go with Thomas here.

7
oak.gif
Oakland Raiders (1-3)Mario Williams DENC State With Derrick Burgess already their pass rush specialist, the Raiders take Williams over Kiwanuka for his size. Williams can play the strongside and can even move inside to give aging tackles Warren Sapp and Ted Washington a breather.

8
bal.gif
Baltimore Ravens (1-3)Marcus McNeill OTAuburnMcNeill is a huge mauler and is a younger version of Orlando Brown. Brown may not be with the team much longer and the Ravens don't have a whole lot of depth at the tackle position.

9
nyj.gif
New York Jets (2-3)Laurence Maroney RBMinnesotaThe Jets could go a number of ways here, but I don't see Derrick Blaylock or Cedric Houston as the heirs to Curtis Martin's feature back spot, so I'll project Maroney to them here.

10
ten.gif
Tennessee Titans (2-3)Jonathan Scott OTTexasScott is an athletic left tackle prospect who could eventually take over for Brad Hopkins at Tennessee's left tackle spot.

11
no.gif
New Orleans Saints (2-3)Jimmy Williams CBVirginia Tech Scott is an athletic left tackle prospect who could eventually take over for Brad Hopkins at Tennessee's left tackle spot.

12
buf.gif
Buffalo Bills (2-3)Max Jean-Gilles GGeorgiaA little high for a guard maybe, but Jean-Gilles is a potentially dominating run blocker and with Chris Villarrial nearing the end of his career, the Bills may choose to go with an interior lineman here.

13
stl.gif
St. Louis Rams (2-3)Charles GordonCBKansasThis is a team that has had trouble defending the pass this season and this speedy cover man could be a quick fix.

14
cle.gif
Cleveland Browns (2-2)Mathias Kiwanuka DEBoston College Kiwanuka's versatility could make him the pick here for Romeo Crennel. Kiwanuka is a great rusher from a 3-point, but if he shows that he can rush from the two point as well, he could be a good fit in this defense.

15
mia.gif
Miami Dolphins (2-2)Omar Jacobs QBBowling Green Jacobs is very raw, but his physical tools allow him to project as a future starter in the pros. The Dolphins don't have any young QB they can pin as their future, and Jacobs, a Florida product himself, could be Nick Saban's guy.

16
kc.gif
Kansas City Chiefs(2-2)Santonio HolmesWROhio State Say what you want about his size, Holmes is a playmaker. He has the skills to be a go-to guy in the NFL and that's exactly what the Chiefs need in this draft.

17
sd.gif
San Diego Chargers (2-3)Laron Landry FSLSUReceiver is going to be a need, but that position is much deeper than safety, where a playmaker like Landry is tough to pass up on here. The Chargers are a playmaker in the secondary away from being a complete team.

18
phi.gif
Philadelphia Eagles (3-2)Leonard Pope TEGeorgiaThe Eagles don't have a lot of needs, so they have some options here. LJ Smith is a great receiver, but they don't have that much quality depth at the tight end position, so they go with Pope, a big guy who can become a great blocker and still offers great receiving

19
dal.gif
Dallas Cowboys (3-2)Vince Young QBTexasThe way he's playing this year, Young is validating himself as a bona fide QB prospect. He's throwing the ball better and with Drew Bledsoe there, the Boys can afford to wait a couple years for him to develop. Receiver is a possibility here too, but Young's upside is almost too big to pass up.

20
jac.gif
Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2)Tye Hill CBClemsonWill Blackmon has been playing WR primarily, so Hill leaps over him as the selection here. He has great speed and can play man and Jacksonville needs another young CB to pair with Rashean Mathis.

21
ne.gif
New England Patriots (3-2)Ahmad BrooksLBVirginiaBrooks' stock has been dropping a little due to injury, but he's still an elite athlete. If he's still around here, it would be very hard for New England, who has been getting sub par play out of their inside backers, to pass him up.

22
sea.gif
Seattle Seahawks(3-2)DeAngelo Williams RBMemphisThis is assuming Shaun Alexander doesn't stick around. If he doesn't, this team will need a feature back which Williams definitely can be with his all around ability.

23
det.gif
Detroit Lions (2-2)Andrew Whitworth OTLSUThe Lions haven't been doing a great job protecting Joey Harrington and their right tackle position still hasn't been solidified. Whitworth is an all-american who could potentially step in right away for the Lions.

24
car.gif
Carolina Panthers (3-2)Marcedes Lewis TEUCLALewis can give the Panthers' offense another option as he is a great receiver and could open up the middle of the field for Jake Delhomme.

25
atl.gif
Atlanta Falcons (3-2)Jeremy Trueblood OTBoston CollegeThe Falcons need to start building up that offensive line to protect Michael Vick. Trueblood is a big tackle with a lot of upside.

26
den.gif
Denver Broncos f/WASGreg Eslinger CMinnesotaEslinger is a Tom Nalen clone and a perfect fit in the Broncos' offense.

27
nyg.gif
New York Giants (3-1)Haloti Ngata DTOregonThe Giants need safety help, but there aren't any free safeties available here that is quite worth this pick, so instead, they go with Ngata who can plug up the middle with William Joseph even though Kendrick Clancy has been playing well.

28
pit.gif
Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)Mike DeGory CFloridaIt's a boring pick, but I still think this is a perfect fit. The Steelers pride themselves on hard running and having a center in the middle who can pull and also open holes up the middle is key, so with Jeff Hartings nearing the end of his career, they go with DeGory.

29
den.gif
Denver Broncos (4-1)Manny Lawson DENC State The Broncos have picked up a few free agents at the end position, but they still haven't gotten the pass rush production they need. Lawson can give them some more speed off the edge.

30
cin.gif
Cincinnati Bengals (4-1)Rodrique Wright DTTexasWright has been inconsistent for much of his career, but is putting together a solid season thus far. Cincinnati is building a nice young defense, but could improve themselves right up the middle..

31
tb.gif
Tampa Bay Bucs (4-1)Ernie Sims LBFlorida State The Bucs may have a need here soon as Derrick Brooks is nearing the end of his career and there is little depth here. Sims is a local product with outstanding physical skills..

32
ind.gif
Indianapolis Colts (5-0)Daryn Colledge OTBoise StateThe Colts need to think about an heir to the left tackle spot for Tarik Glenn, and Colledge could be the guy here..

Round 2

32
hou.gif
Houston Texans (0-4)Gabe Watson DTMichiganGabe has had a down year, but he still has great potential and that can get you drafted a lot higher than you should. He's played in a 3-4, so he knows how to man that nose tackle spot in Dom Capers' defense. 33
sf.gif
San Francisco 49ers (1-3)Jason Allen DBTennesseeIf Allen proves he's healthy around workout time, he could even go a little higher than this. As it stands, he's available here for San Francisco to take and likely stick him in at free safety. 34
min.gif
Minnesota Vikings (1-3)Darnell Bing SSUSCCorey Chavous has been solid, but he's not a true strong safety, so Bing would allow him to move back to more natural positions. 35
ari.gif
Arizona Cardinals (1-4)Claude Wroten DTLSUThe Cardinals are building a pretty nice defensive line, they need another young tackle to pair with Darnell Dockett though, so they take Wroten here.

36
gb.gif
Green Bay Packers (1-4)Jesse Mahelona DTTennesseeMahelona has had a great start to the season and the Packers could use more depth at the tackle spot.

37
chi.gif
Chicago Bears (1-4)Vernon Davis TEMarylandThe Bears haven't had a go-to TE in a while, and Davis has the makings of a deadly receiving threat.

38
oak.gif
Oakland Raiders (1-3)Thomas HowardOLBUTEPThe Raiders don't have any linebackers that can make game changing plays. Howard has the size and speed to develop into that playmaker for them.

39
bal.gif
Baltimore Ravens (1-3)Devin Hester CBMiamiThe Ravens have had great success with Miami defenders and they try again here with Hester who would give them their nickel back since Deion and Dale Carter likely won't be around much longer.

40
nyj.gif
New York Jets (2-3)Reggie McNeal QBTexas A&M Patience is wearing thin with Chad Pennington, and if nothing else, McNeal would serve as a motivator and backup to the oft-injured Pennington.

41
ten.gif
Tennessee Titans (2-3)Will Blackmon CBBoston College Yes, they do have two number one picks in Pacman Jones and Andre Woolfolk manning the corners, but they've still struggled against the pass, so they take Blackmon, who will need some time, to play in nickel and dime packages.

42
no.gif
New Orleans Saints (2-3)Derek Hagan WRArizona State The BPA here and a bigger target which the Saints don't currently have on their roster.

43
buf.gif
Buffalo Bills (2-3)Alan Zemaitis CBPenn State The Bills need some depth at corner and Zemaitis has a physical style that would fit well in Buffalo.

44
stl.gif
St. Louis Rams (2-3)Hank Baskett WRNew MexicoDoesn't fit the mold of the Rams' smurfy receivers, but maybe it's time they got some size in their receiving corps and Baskett still has plenty of speed.

45
cle.gif
Cleveland Browns (2-2)Orien Harris DTMiamiThe Browns continue to sure up their defensive line here as they take Harris to plug into the middle.

46
mia.gif
Miami Dolphins (2-2)Jason Avant WRMichiganIf the Dolphins go QB in Round 1, they're going to want to add some weapons for their new QB. Avant is as sure handed and reliable as it gets.

47
kc.gif
Kansas City Chiefs(2-2)Drew Stanton QBMichigan State It's about time the Chiefs thought about life after Trent Green and Stanton has been playing well enough this season to leave early.

48
sd.gif
San Diego Chargers (2-3)Demetrius WilliamsWROregonWilliams has the skill set to develop into a number one option and that's just what the Chargers don't have right now.

49
phi.gif
Philadelphia Eagles (3-2)Lendale White RBUSCThe Eagles have a nice stable of backs, but no big pounder, which is what White is here. He doesn't fill any pressing need but is a great value here.

50
dal.gif
Dallas Cowboys (3-2)Todd Watkins WRBYUThe Dallas receiving corps is getting older and they need some youth. Watkins has youth and lots of speed and big play ability.

51
jac.gif
Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2)Ray Edwards DEPurdueBy the time April gets here, it would not surprise me to see Edwards in the 1st Round, he slides a little here based on needs, but he would give the Jags some added pass rush pop.

52
ne.gif
New England Patriots (3-2)Bobby Carpenter LBOhio State How great of a fit would this be? Carpenter, in the mold of Willie McGinest or Mike Vrabel just seems like a Bellichik type of player.

53
sea.gif
Seattle Seahawks(3-2)Tamba Hali DEPenn StateHali is another rising Big Ten lineman who could go much higher than this. He could grow into Seattle's LDE spot.

54
det.gif
Detroit Lions (2-2)Charlie Whitehurst QBClemsonIf Joey Harrington doesn't start playing better, even if the Lions win the division, it could be time to look elsewhere.

55
car.gif
Carolina Panthers (3-2)Manase Hopoi DTWashingtonCarolina could use some more depth at the tackle spot, especially since Brenston Buckner likley won't play too much longer.

56
atl.gif
Atlanta Falcons (3-2)Daryl Tapp DEVirginia Tech The Falcons don't have much depth at the end spot and Tapp would be one of the best players available at this point.

57
was.gif
Washington Commanders (3-1)Parys HaralsonDETennesseeWashington doesn't have great edge rushers and Haralson is someone who could help them put more heat on the quarterback.

58
nyg.gif
New York Giants (3-1)Michael Huff FSTexasIt is time for the Giants to think about life after Brent Alexander at the free safety spot. Huff has been projected at corner and has played corner, but has also performed well at safety and could play there in the pros.

59
pit.gif
Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)Martin Nance WRMiami-OhioAntwaan Randle-El will be a free agent at the end of this season and they might not have the money to offer him what he wants. So for now, I'll project a reunion between Big Ben and Nance.

60
den.gif
Denver Broncos (4-1)Jay Cutler QBVanderbiltA Quarterback for the future is needed here. Could be a tad high for Cutler, but he has good physical ability which Denver can mold for a couple seasons while Jake Plummer holds down the fort.

61
cin.gif
Cincinnati Bengals (4-1)Davin Joseph G/TOklahomaThis is lower than most are projecting Joseph, but he slides here based purely on needs, not performance. The Bengals need some depth on the O-Line and Joseph can provide it in several spots.

62
tb.gif
Tampa Bay Bucs (4-1)Kamerion Wimbley DEFlorida State Wimbley has had a great season so far and could grow into the edge rusher that takes over for Simeon Rice in Tampa.

63
ind.gif
Indianapolis Colts (5-0)Leon WashingtonRBFlorida State Insurance in case Edgerrin James doesn't resign. Washington's receiving puts him just above Michael Bush for the pick here.

I would be happy to have Vince Young as our Quarterback or Reggie McNeal... one of the two...
